HI, Guys looking to travel from Glasgow on 28th june till 8th july getting quoted prices of £1250-1600 for flight and hotel is this reasonable ? will be travellng alone and i am a vegas virgin.
Could you also recommend a hotel (no resort fees) just to get my head down as im on a budget also any tips for cheap grub booze etc.
Just going to play a couple of tourneys and some cash and experience vegas for the 1st time any advice or tips would be very much appreciated.
Bryan.

Just had a look and flights are running £950,  that will get you the BA flight out from Heathrow and is about the best you'll get.

A hotel on the strip is gonna run you £400-500 for the trip*(Quad/Harrahs) both these have resort fees now and the days of no resort fees for strip hotels are mostly gone...

*It's late, so I haven't gone checking everything with promo codes from Smartervegas

That would make your total about that £1550 (at a guess) for the lot. However, I did just find on expedia the same flights and Harrahs for your entire trip for £1370

If you're on a budget I would suggest either of these 2 hotels are ideal, I personally would stay Harrahs if I wanted to play @ Venetian and at Quad if I was going to play Caesars/MGM  etc.

That way you won't have any long walks outside daily  and don't have to shell out for cabs too often.

The first post has some cheap eats tips, but there are foodcourts everywhere and you can normally find a friendly waitress to get you a drink for a buck or 2 Smiley

No worries, just went through all the Harrahs hotels with promo codes then and you're 100% best off booking it up as a package*

*Unless you intend to punt your tits off at table games to get your rooms comped, but from the OP I'm guessing you play about as much Blackjack and Roulette as me Smiley

The deal with Expedia I found, which you need to adjust the flight manually with was very good and I'd be surprised if you found it better elsewhere.

Give me 5 minutes and I'll check a couple other sites for you too.

Checked and I would snap up Harrahs and BA for £1370 imo, or whatever deal you've found in the price range that's preferable to yourself m8

Ebookers are usually cheaper than expedia. Try a day or two either side of your dates, might be cheaper

I checked there, but there was nothing with the BA flight (which is worth a few quid in itself) and it was coming out more expensive with a worse flight.

If the dates are flexible and you're going for 10 days,  I would suggest flying out on a Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and back 10 days later. This will ensure that you only pay for one Friday/Saturday night, the rest of your stay will be at the cheaper rates.

Obviously only something to consider when budgeting, if you want to be there from 'X until Y' then it's moot and not worth worrying about.

Yeah, BA flights do seem sporadic at times on ebookers.
Do BA fly from Heathrow everyday? I only fly from Gatters and BA only fly a few days each week from there.

The BA flight with ebookers was a strange one and actually took a day off the trip, but the expedia one was a flight down in the AM and the standard BA 4pm.

They do, it's a poker player friendly 16:40 flight too, unlike Virgin's 11:25 job Smiley

So looking to book my flight.  I'm pretty relaxed on the day/time....gonna be going for 3 to 4 weeks.

Have only been to Vegas with Virgin before.  Is really that better?  The prices seem roughly the same on Premium Economy.  Also with that is it better to go PE now or go Economy and upgrade on the day?

Premium economy is worth it just for the glass they give you with your choice of lagers.
