You need a players card before registering at the rio , you must have passport I.d a uk driving licence is not acceptable ,they are available at any harrahs property ,e.g Caesars but the rio do a special one each year for the wsop ,registration is in the hallway for a players card ,also if you cash for over 5k $ you will need a itin number / registration with the Internal Revenue Service ,at the rio they will do this for you ,not all casinos will tho , but you can apply for one here

You are correct, but I think that some places can be awkward if you win more than $5k and will withold rather than issuing you with an ITIN.

When I had to get mine, the staff at the Rio did all the forms for me while I was sitting with them. I presume the same process is still in place, so wouldn't worry if you're going to be playing the comps there.

Simon should be able to confirm/correct I hope Smiley

At the rio they will complete the paperwork for you ,if they arnt busy ,yes it's 5k $ ,my friend and his mrs got stuck 2? Years ago when the Icelandic volcano went up in may she won over 5k$ on a slot machine wherever it was they stopped em tax ,and they were in need of it as spending money was about run out
Mitch had probs at the nugget last year I believe ? As he didn't have one ? Or didn't have it with him ? Maybe he will post the outcome on here

After nearly booking a boo boo last time, I need some advice again

$468 for 2 nights, 3 people (queen beds) in the Bellagio with a fountain view room and $100 food and drink credit.  Resort fee payable on check in.  Does that sound good?  Is it worth the extra $50 for the delux room?  I'm not quite sure what's extra about the delux except maybe a better view.  Maybe the delux room could be what I try the $20 trick with or should I book the normal room for $400 and go for the trick to get the fountain? I'd quite like a nice view!

The room will only have 2 Queen beds in... not sure if you realised, figure you did, but depending on who you are sharing with... that could be a boo-boo Smiley

Some of the rooms are ~ 500sq ft and some are closer to 650 sq ft.  can't remember which is which, haven't stayed there for a while.

As to value, that is very date-dependent. For a quiet monday+tues, thats pretty crap value.  For a busy fri+sat, its pretty good value.

The $20 will be unlikely to work (should still try tho) so be prepared not to get the upgrade (or pay up front for the upgrade if it is a must-have)

Do they accept the $20 even if there are no upgrades available?

I have never tried it btw

I think it said it was 510 sq ft, but I can't really picture what that is.  I need two beds in the room, one for the Mrs and me and one for our girl, a 1/2 bedroom suite is a bit overpriced there.     Will keep looking, maybe a 2 bed place in a cheaper place or something.

You can tell I don't stay there that often, I'm finding it quite hard and it's only for two nights!

If it's $60 more for a Fountain Lakeview and you want the view, I would just book it and know that you don't have to worry about being knocked back.

I'm not certain, but I seem to remember reading that the bigger rooms didn't have great views of the fountains and were at the end of corridors.
