that clearly shows is not all about winning.... its a lot to do with the experience!!  almost like the Olympic moto - 'its not the winning, but the taking part that counts'!!!!

So true

Not really related to Vegas and only for Virgin, but in case you didn't see the email, Virgin have a miles flight sale on again flying to the US from 25,000 miles.  Vegas isn't on the list but LA is (and others)

Looks like I'm going to the US for work next month, couple of my colleagues want to go a few days in Vegas so looks like its on. Dates are likely 19-23 Oct, anyone see any good hotel deals for max $150 a night? Venetian is coming in at over $350 ffs, never paid more than $200 before I think, although its been at least 3 years since I stayed there.

Gl, it looks like a couple of conventions plus a Rodeo event that starts 23/10, think you might be struggling here...

ETA: http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/2013/05/30/vdara-adesa-offer/ ($530+resort fee)

Yeah, a lot of my usual haunts are double the normal price. Don't even have any deals coming my way through my rewards scheme, I can often get a harrahs chain hotel for close to nothing, not this time.

When in April?

If you can go in March it will be a hell of a lot cheaper flights wise...

Prefer the Venetian end of the strip if I'm honest, it's looking like The Flamingo, I'll just have to suck up the extra cost.

TI is coming in at around the same price and I think that is a better hotel...go to their website and look in special offers for the $69 TV ad special

Interested to know how you get on when you go.

Gonna be my first trip next year or year after for my 40th!

Want to take a trip to San Fran/Oakland to watch NflL while I'm out there.
