Resort fees seem to have gone up at some properties:

Bellagio, Vdara and Aria are showing $45 + tax per night

They're overcomping me by some way, so I'm going to try and rinse them for as much as possible between now and next WSOP.

For December Got 3 nights comped in a Panoramic Suite @ Aria ($75FP & $50 RC) paying RF, and 4 nights in a 1br Tower Premier ($75FP & $100 RC) with no RF.

Played slots for about 2 hours in Ballys one night, and now have 5 nights @ PH comped, and then back for the last 4 comped, too.

Crazy scenes. Aria such a ripoff given the rooms. Bally's much the best now for me in terms of value.

I love the casino/food options, though.

I've got 8 nights there in the summer for just over $100 a night all in, and get $100 of that back in freeplay and food credit.

I've just pinged a host at Cosmo as they offer matches to offers for Bellagio/Aria, and I'll see if I can get a comparable price for that.

My Caesars account is showing comps at everything bar cromwell/caesars now, and I only spent a couple hours in Ballys playing <$1 a spin slots. Oh, and half an hour in Harrahs when my scooter died and I had to recharge it on my way back to Encore Grin

My Xmas trip is basically free as I've got the whole 2 weeks comped, bar resort fees at Aria & PH of ~$300, and I get that back in food and freeplay.

Missed this.   I have only stayed there once, so may be wrong, but what communal spaces at the Vdara justify anything like this?  If I stay at the Wynn or Encore, I may get grumpy about the fee, but there are many nice spaces; the lobby of the Vdara hasn't got much above what you'd find in a travelodge?

The penny-pinching is annoying, but I don't care about the fees, as long as I'm happy with the overall price I'm paying.

My understanding of them, is that it's their way of reducing commmissions paid to the likes of Expedia, by splitting the room costs into 2 portions, and only having to pay the 3rd parties on the former, not the latter.

Hi Tony,

It would be $52.50x6 nights and $111.50x2 nights plus 13% hotel sales tax and a daily $14 resort fee. Before departure we can evaluate both of you to see if we can  comp part or all of your stay. Would you like me to book this?

Thank you,

The last 2 nights are under Denise because she has 2 free nights and $20 in resort credits and $20 free play.
You will stay in the same room it will just change into her name on 9/25. I applied your mailer for 2 free nights also.

Thank you,

I have to say we get very well looked after at southpoint
Denise spends $200 a night which gets our room comped pit boss takes care of the food

Plus it’s a lot more reasonablely priced FABwise than the strip these days which seems to so expensive
We got to use a lot of miles for 2 seats in upper and £1300 in September booked 11 months ago and extended last week
Full cost £7 k

Got PE there and upper on return next June already in bag

With the low £to$ exchange rate it’s search for value

How's everyone getting on with the Curve cards?
I've managed to get up to a 100k limit but I have heard 1.4m is available!
2m flying club miles a year would be incredible!
