Guessing you're at The Empire or Hippodrome John?

I can recommend the Vic, the £1/£1 is so soft that even I can win £400 in a night.

Highlights..

Last night I had someone flat call a preflop raise with AKo, flop TPTK, turn two and yet still flat at all opportunities and then check behind on the river
Another, I think regular, reloaded for £50 (for the sixth time apparently), called £8 pre, £12 flop, £15 turn and folded for £15 on the river
And the guy who had sat snug and tight for 6hrs to my right suddenly went mental on a J9x9 board where the only hand I feared when I called his £75 pot sized shove was AJ which he clearly couldn't have

Yeah Hippo..

Sounds like a fun game at The Vic.

Been a tiring day, morale has been so high despite not being given the pot as often as of like.

But table issues, arguments about hands (never directly involved for once) and players comments have made it a tough one today to keep flying high.

Watching chips go the other way when loses to J8o on J69ss and suchlike is a little unfortunate but meh....

Final 'chunk' went with 910o call all in on QJ5cc vs 55 and KJo.
KJ check, I check, 55 aiotf £158, call, I ship in £197 because I know KJ player and he has KQ at best.
Goes 3 ways and despite turning a club, we do not scoop on a A river.

Feel good about my session atm, hopefully ill feel the same later.

Just had a 'noodle bar' rice n curry pot in Leicester Square, train time I think.

Had to go Hagen Dazs to finish the day off...

After ages working out what doesn't have nuts in, in one form or another...

Managed to get a 3scoop, banoffee, Belgian choc, cream and biscuit with a cookie and fudge sauce!
Worked!

Perfect timing for train.

Day rescued.

Next day pls.

Well that's our first session of 50nl done.

We won some moneys!
Had a few gifted $$.

AA vs QQ twice, A10 vs A7 bvb on K103r 7A (c, c, minr/snap)

Had a pretty gross one with Q8ss on 867ss, , where he cbet/call, cc, donkshove, we fold... bit meh about it tbh

Only 'blowup' or spew or special hand if you want to call it that is this..

Open Q10o CO, get 3bt by a guy with a BIG stack (500bb+) and we're 185bb effective.
I decide to 4bt IP and plan to barell small knowing by the river it can still easily go in.. (assuming decent runout)
When he doesn't 5bt I assume he doesn't have all the combos of QQ+ AK (reckon he must have some 5bt range)

FLOP
834ss
ck, cbet 8.50>23.50, call

TURN
6o
ck, cbet 19.25>40.50
snap fold

Cheesy Cheesy

Finished second session,

lost a single bi, but should've won 2 which is a shame...

Lost QQ vs 99 aipf, a 'reg' i assume just decided a standard plan of 3/5bt 99's would be fine - I've no idea if its good or not at this level.
Lost AK vs AQ aipf - meh
and a flip with 10's vs AK
had a couple of small pots where I call, call, ckb and lost to a hand that only just beat me.... Sad #knowwhentobluff

but other than that, continued solid and decent.

I'm a little tired so unsure if I will play another session, but would like to.

For a first time ever, I quit a Friday early (means pre 4am).

Why?
I was tired.

I had played well in two sessions, been gifted some money with some nice spots, then had some taken away by losing some 80/20's and then made a couple of nice in game reads for some hero calls and one hero bluff (raise/ peel btn vs bb - call, call, minrjam on K10xdd, K, xd).

Didn't spew bar one 4bt pre and two small cbets....

Hopefull for this new two tabling more concentrating approach.

Now back to bed... Im not that mature yet that ill see pre 10am on a Saturday.

Im unsure if this is an example of how much of an idiot I am, or an example of how the way my brain works and is successful.

But just managed to instantly find a space on a busy Saturday afternoon in the central 'free' carpark of MK by cutting the 'in' queue going straight to the exit...
(not cutting in I mean... But going straight through the disabled spaces area)

In that the car park is always going to 'fill up' from the front, therefore tue spaces at the end..
Should be more available, more often...

And bingo, four of them sat waiting for me, while 10+ cars are queueing on the ramp to go up to the higher floors.

Also, bit random.. But they've got a massive 'wargames' society day in the exhibition hall here..

Reminds me of 'back in the day' when I used to play a lot of Warhammer.
#happydays

Kinda miss it tbh, the whole thing of building, painting, adjustment/ customisation and then battle!
