I suggest you ignore the numbers in your head in game (until you've worked on them and cracked them) and just think to yourself "what would x do". Where X is confirmed mtt sicko. "Have I ever read a HH on blonde/pokernews, seen on espn etc etc where X shoves this hand?".
I've never seen it say on Pokernews "Moorman busts EPT 3bet shove 42o" or "Toby Lewis exits the main event 4bet shoving 73o".
There's a reason good players usually exit tournaments with better hands than 42o.
What about:
Alex Goulder finishes in 4th place.
From utg colburn tomlin limped. Alex Goulder moved all on from the small blind and tomlin snap called.
Tomlin: AQ
Goulder: J2
We can only assume Goulder looked at the jack twice as the board failed to help the reigning champion.
Ahahahahhahahhhahhahahahahahahah

Also jakally... Great post.
This.. Needs bolding
If we feel that we always keep running into the upper part of people's ranges, it's probably because the bottom chunk of those ranges don't exist
@pleno... I can't believe people will bet/ call j2-j9 here.. Not even a bit. However you've been right about so much so probably right about this.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Does he fold jxss pre?
after all he's peeled J10o vs a utg open and utg+1 call... Clearly not an optimal play.
Although that's probably more argument for cbet/ folding so maybe I should shutup. :-D

People peel JTo doesn't mean they peel J2ss. Probs peels J8ss+. Sure folds the flop.

Sorry guys but I am struggling to agree with him bet/ calling J8 type hands even 50%... Obv when he does we god lots of outs.. But just no way.
Moreover I wonder if he bets A10/ 99/ KQ/ etc... The second pair/ semi bluff hands are the ones this should be most effective vs.
I no longer try to make people fold tp very often... Honest.

On a personal note, outside the place where C is having her interview... Gl her
And turns out the postmortem on my uncle is being done today, hopefully over the weekend we will have the resultsabd a better idea what happened.
Really sweating results as anything inferring a drawn out end will be so hard for the family to deal with. Everyone is questioning why they didn't call him last weekend, its tearing them up. Tbh not sure I've even acknowledged it yet, let alone dealt with it.

Mt advice to u in that case do NOT try and get people on stoke to fold bottom pair. It won't work. Try a different strat where u make hands and try and get people to call

there is no shame on giving up. We make money by maximising our value, not bluffing people off pairs.
