Gl in the monte btw!
Thanks man, really felt like I played very very good 'poker' in the GPS even though I admit now I made a few 'hasty' decisions in some spots.
Busting with the second nuts in two comps really can't be that bad a thing when you include general live players abilities to turn up with such a wide variety of hands sometimes. I think I played 'well' in the DTD300 last weekend but I really struggled to make any good hands and I think I had a pretty tough table (considering the field).
So lets see how it goes...
Fairly confident if I can make a few hands I'll be able to do well with a few bb's.
But my biggest 'weakness' is that I'm just not as confident as some people I know in my <30bb game, I have a relatively ok knowledge but just not 'perfect' ranges or balanced ideas of how to adjust 30>25>20>15>10bb's....
Noooooo more excuses(tough tables, 2nd nuts into nuts etc), played perfect all day but if you make "a few" big mistakes overall you played bad. The best players are those who play a B+ game 24/7 and don't slip up at all. Far more so than a super sick Isildur or Jymaster 55/48/18 for 500 hands of an MTT yet will 4b call off A3 or something equally silly at the end.
Your biggest weakness isn't <30bb poker or biggest strength >100bb poker you are a winner at both if you slow down and just think about what you're doing rather than trying to win every chip at any opportunity
I feel like you're going to do well this weekend if you just slow everything down and don't over think
Lets bring it home for team Northampton
I was going to say a similar thing
end of the day your going to be much better then the majority of the field who will be satellite qualifiers... There's no need to over think vs these types of people. Play the poker you know to be profitable, you do it everyday (or majority of).. just because its a £1k it isn't a different game.. just hope your on the good side of variance wan time.

Too small stakes for you surely Dave? It's only 1/1...

Been thinking a lot about this cash game, a few ideas:
-Get Robs Charity involved. I will give half of any winnings to it. I'm sure some others might be keen to do the same. Maybe some of the rake could go to it if I could get that sorted.
-Have it updated on blonde. Not just hands, get the banter and metagame in there, people tilting, needling etc. I could get someone to do it for free I'm sure but Tighty is second to none but will cost and he's doing it all weekend.
-Vote on/off. Blonde members can vote on the thread (or maybe via pm better?) if there's people on the waiting list.
- I've thought of a (imo) great name for it - The Big One...One

I'm not really in a position where I can just 'give' half my profits, but would be willing to do this if we all agreed to do so... Anyone balla enough to give 'half' of their losses as well? (like that HSP guy)
I haven't gotten the time off work yet but that isn't a problem, let me know asap and I'll get it sorted.
- Show one is fine
- Mini props should be in too
- 72o?
- voting on or off every hour or two?
- anything else fun or semi-degen?

I'm in for all suggested, would happily donate some to charity to have it streamed?

I am happy to commentate it or live update it on here in principle (beware the streaming costs money in itself, and you'll need DTD to be happy with some agreement on the cost).
If you want me to make a show of it, just cover a tank of petrol and a hotel room between you as I have only booked in from Thurs onwards...

OK great. Yeh I've asked about the stream, seems unlikely that it could be worth their while for a 1/1 game, but maybe the charity element will swing it and perhaps it doesn't cost that much anyway, I don't know.
What are people's thoughts on players in the game getting a half hour window each to commentate alongside tighty? Everyone would have to agree, it would be really good I think. People could give their thoughts on hands previously, say what they were thinking etc, would be great for viewers.
