I'd say its not too long before we'll see another needless hand involving a suited 2 making it's way onto the diary.
<3

Called it.

Solid Ape/notebook read sir.

Came to Northampton to sort my head out and have played pretty solid all night.

Made some good reads, made a lot of small value hands and some good folds.

One awkward spot where I lead 9s3s from BB to a limped pot on 733dd.
Get flatted in one spot by a guy who knows I have a good hand/ draw all the time. (live reg)
Hu to the turn and I lead 27 into 30ish and get insta-clicked to 65.

I sigh fold and he smiles as he shows me .

Literally :O

nice hand bro.

Phone dying but have to get this out..

Have guy next to me who keeps mentioning every hand how he can't see the board, the hand tabled or that his eyes just aren't the same as they used to be.

Then peels his hand and makes it £12 over a £1/1 unopened pot.

im trying so hard to stay quiet and to just nod and smile.

Stacked him shortly after with 84o vs 89o on 1084r in a limped pot where I checked my SB option.

That was weird...

Managed to do well once James and Shane left (poker reg friends) which sucks... But the table just got better and better.

I made a few hands and lost a few small coolers (flush under flush twice - 4 and 5 handed).

But just pounded and pounded away, grinding my way to a +331 result which is splendid.
IN for 350
OUT for 681

Nice to win again.

Going to be in pain tomorrow (few hours time ffs).

So tonight should be a pretty big one.

On my way with 5days worth of clothes (hopeful - bok'd already) to play at DTD for the Monte Carlo multi table live tournament.

Kicking off tonight with an invite only game that looks like the toughest lineup I've ever seen for a cash game I've planned to play.  The full list is over on Alex's diary, but expect levels, mess, banter, abuse and potentially a #wpsir or two. Wink

I know im a 'dog' in the game.. But that does mean ill have to sort my head out and play my A game. Im not feeling 100% atm so I may not play as long as I would otherwise want, but I hope to stand up if im either not playing well or the game is too tough.  Bit of a silly thing to be thinking preflop but I think anything else would be just undeserved and inapplicable arrogance.

I will undoubtedly have to play 'tighter' than my usual style and cut out the kinds of mistakes I can cover up and gloss over in weak games.  I guess the question will be how well I apply myself to the hands I play, and how the table play vs me.

I am however, looking forward to it immensely, the challenge, the people and the ultimate diary merge.

Very best of luck to me and hopefully ill have some profits to chop and give 50% to DTD's charity.

Let the games commence...

Think I played ok...

First hand lose A9 vs AK (bb vs btn) on A3362
second hand raise/call A10cc vs Ed Gascoinge's straddle 8/ call 60. (dont think it can be terrible)
Then a little while later cold4bt BB vs Matt who had been a little splashy and fistpumped the call in for £200 to see his AK vs my 88. Board runs out a little sick - K1097Q meh.

Other than that had a reasonable time finished the game -£300.

Then we all looked around at the end of the £50rebuy 'play period' and realised there were 20 seats with 72 players.

So a bunch of us entered and im now playing that... Have an ok stack, reasonable table and so far run really good with preflop hands.

Continue pls.
