Dempsey suggested  betting whoever 2nd on grid if rains in morning for following reason

"Reason pole so massive is the rubber on that side of track as opposed to dirt on the non used side of track

Rain reduces the effect obv. Cleans track

Thing is only happens couple of times a year. So funk for loads of rain then smash into 2nd Q. You will have value"

10 star job?

the reasoning is correct.

Not quite sure how to price up the utility of money / time decay, but Murray is insanely short for Spoty @ 2/1.  Anyone thinking of backing Federer @ roughly 1/2 would be worth considering laying Murray for SPOTY instead?  Assumption is that if Federer wins, SPOTY won't happen, plus you get the freeroll that Murray somehow beats Federer, but doesn't win SPOTY anyway?

Brits love a (gallant) loser.

Mansell won SPOTY when he was runner-up for the Formula 1 Championship, not when he won it.

Schumacher likes the wet.  His car is getting better and he'll be going for the win rather than points.

Kell Brook v Carson Jones

Tonight.
Hometown favourite Brook is big odds on favourite.

Brook is currently 27 wins from 27 with 17 KO's.
Jones is currently 34 wins from 44 with 24 KO's.

In my opinion Brook has been spoon fed pretty mediocre opposition and has disposed of them comfortably. The only time he has looked troubled is when he has been put under sustained pressure(as in his last two fights , v Galarza , and v Hatton who took him the 12 rounds) as his defensive work is very suspect.

Jones has come to fight !
He looks in terrific shape , is ranked two places higher than Brook , has fought better opposition,is young and hungry.....and he can bang.
In the last four years his only defeats have been by SD and UD so his ability to go the distance is not in doubt and if he can overcome Brooks expected early onslaught i think a late TKO /Decision in his favour.

Recommend  Jones  by TKO    £20 @ 11/1  Bet Victor
Jones by Decision  £20 @  16/1  Bet Victor

Fred's going to dodge this one because of contrary opinions.
However, I know an elderly gentleman who has happily taken the plunge. Smiley

England win the cricket at a canter.
Not sure how many Australians are left standing.

Personally I think Kell is diff class in this bout, Hatton is a very durable fighter so it was difficult to look special fighting him. There has been a lot of trash talk going into tonight's fight too and I know Kell is annoyed with it as my bro is close to his family. The last time his oppo really got under his skin was against Mcintyre and it lasted a minute. ( tho he was diff class in that anyway)

Mines a Dave tip, not a Fred - shame my QPR was ignored, value all gone two spades now

Anyone watching Marray game - great story and they are playing inspired tennis, can't cheer for Fred on this one

That's six lol - I've considered Jenson, you're right Guy he has a huge tyre advantage after qualifying - as well as the obvious rain form and driving ability, but he's just a bit too short for me - 7/1 a podium.

I looked at in the points, 5/6 - it's a bet at 11/8 for me - just can't see past his horrendous form this year
