no bets completed yesterday

in our wimbledon book Tsonga through in straight sets to round 3

in his quarter one of troicki/brown and pospisil/ward is going to make the quarters after rafa's loss

tsonga has to get past murray first though

--

Lancashire were saved from defeat to northants by Manchester rain late on the fourth afternoon

this gave them 5 points for a draw and allowed them to stretch their lead at the top of the table to 17 points with 6 games to go

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table

saw this pic yesterday

where is it?

Chambers bay?  Could be all day if it is a british links course.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Not really sure why Andrea Petkovic is still 500/1 with BoyleSports.
http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/winner

She can be laid at prices down to 420 on Betfair.
https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/#/tennis/market/1.114520035

She has a fairly comfortable match today against Zarina Diyas (who is not best suited to grass) and then, presumably, faces Ms Sharapova who is having all sorts of trouble with her serve (although the rest of her game has looked fine so far).

Ladbrokes have a daily price boost most days norm up to £25. Today they offer venus williams to win in straight sets@evens. Seems fair as is a general 1.57 shot and similar to lay on the machine.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/top-10-finish

Michal Kwiatkowski: World champion & one of the classiest riders in the peloton.

Etixx - Quick Step have split the tour team to get stage wins in the sprints with Cavendish, but also to have a successful first week with Martin in the TT, & perhaps pass on yellow to Kwiatkowski later in the week on stage 3 or 4.

Kwiatkowski finished 11th on his first TdF back in 2013. His build up this year, after his early season Classic goals, looks to have been cut back. Only the Tour de Suisse, where he just seemed to be in training mode, with the hope to arrive at the Tour fresher than last year.

If he has early form he can perhaps find time on the big four in the first week. Second week in the Pyrennes should be ok for him. Final week in the Alps could be the downfall,  he can struggle on the long climbs. But he may find some help from Uran. But whatever, he does fight to the bitter end.

16/1 available, gives some value over 3 weeks imo. Rec £10.00.

PS had similar thoughts on Dan Martin, but at 9/2 best, looks too slim to me.
