Edited my post £10 on Betfair @ 26 seems ok

assume this is for the greenbrier

we have £2 at 27 and £8 at 26

top 5 place terms aren't very good. 5.2 top 5 https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/#/golf/market/1.119300361 so 4-1 the place

fixed odds is around 20-22/1 now paying 5-1+ top 4

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-greenbrier-classic/winner

sorry i missed last night's post.

If he has another decent round I would guess that he will get a ton of money, and we can profit take on betfair.

Not really sure why Andrea Petkovic is still 500/1 with BoyleSports.
http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/winner

She can be laid at prices down to 420 on Betfair.
https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/#/tennis/market/1.114520035

She has a fairly comfortable match today against Zarina Diyas (who is not best suited to grass) and then, presumably, faces Ms Sharapova who is having all sorts of trouble with her serve (although the rest of her game has looked fine so far).

boyles were the first bookmaker to close us, all those years ago

nothing to do elsewhere?

400/1 sbet?

http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/winner

400/1 still seems good to me but the discrepancy with BoyleSports is too large to take it.
You can have £10 of mine at 500/1 if you want it.

I currently can't get 19/1 on her to win her quarter on Betfair so the 500/1 for the tournament must be pretty good!

go on then thanks

£10 booked

hopefully win a match or two and we can have some fun

That was my thinking.

Well, that went well.
It feels like I stole £10 from you there. Smiley

Ms Petkovic really struggled today losing 7-5, 6-4 to Zarina Diyas who played well above par.
It appears Petkovic may have hay-fever. Who knew? Well, perhaps lots of people given the price although she was shorter than 1/2 fav for this match.

Coco Vandeweghe beat Samantha Stosur 6-2, 6-0.

I missed the first three games so not really sure how it happened but Vandeweghe went 0-2 down with three double-faults in her first service game.
She then won the next 12 games in a row.

Some of the rallies were a bit longer than I was expecting.

 thumbs up

Nice one Mere.

Truely incredible scenes. Some of her defensive tennis in this match has been off the charts.  She looks like she is hitting the ball as hard as Williams.

Looking at the 49ers team and schedule does anybody else feel we should have a healthy bet on unders 7.5 wins.

a profit of £30 yesterday

+£40 Coco beat Stosur in straight sets

-£10 Petkovic lost

ongoing

Tiger Woods

"As if Tiger Woods' opening-round 66 at the Greenbrier Classic didn't produce reminders of what his game once was and suggestions of what it could be again, those surrounding the first tee prior to his Friday afternoon round were treated to a much more literal recollection.

In introducing the player ranked 220th in the current world ranking, the first tee announcer began: "A man who has dominated every phase of golf he has ever competed in ..."

Woods then set his stance, re-gripped and promptly sprayed his opening tee shot 30 yards right of the fairway.

Sixty-eight strokes later, he was in the clubhouse at 5 under par for the tournament, just 4 shots off the lead, but only 3 shots clear of the cut line"

Djokovic into the second week of Wmbledon with the MOF, straight sets victory over Tomic. now 6/5 for the title

At Silverstone

Rosberg quickest in free practice

Verstappen looking quick and in good shape to make Q3 later

Hulkenberg ran consistently in the top 10 for Fierce India and their new nose

Tiger Woods isn't winning a major anytime soon - definitely not this year.
This weeks course is relatively friendly, and he's still having significant issues off the tee. Put him on a tougher set up and there's no possible way his game holds up.

Don't normally watch Woods, I tend to carry on with what else I am doing, but in light of our investment, felt duty bound to do so.

I thought he looked 'little' compared to old Tiger. His presence used to fill the screen. It doesn't anymore. There were more than a few flashes of genius at the end, but his weakness to me seems to be in trying to keep up with the distance the young blades are hitting it.

With open fairways ahead, he is almost falling off shots at impact, in his efforts to belt it out of sight. Once within distance e of the pin and a distance chart to guide him, he looks much more solid.

And while I am fixing golfers out of form.

Graeme McDowell. Nothing wrong with your swing mate. You just need to lose that massive gut you have developed, then you wouldn't have to swing round it.

Ryan Harris has been ruled out of the Ashes tour after two scans on his knee problem

we were discussing last week johnson v hazlewood v starc etc and wondering who would play 5 tests

well, it now looks much better for all three to play 5 tests

i like starc, i think someone else suggested hazlewood.

if its dry and hot Lyon has to be in the equation too...

Wm Hill odds on first country to leave EU: 1/3 Greece, 4/1 UK, 12/1 Hungary, 14/1 Cyprus, 16/1 Italy, 16/1 Spain, 20/1 Latvia, 25/1 Czechs

The UK isn't leaving...no one to lead the no campaign, Stay in about 60-40 up in polling

Hungary etc aren't leaving

1/3 Greece should be much shorter shouldn't it, whenever that happens (it might not be as quick as we might think but anyway...)

expecting some penalties over the weekend...

the stewards are displaying "zero tolerance" for track limits at copse
