Not posted much lately but....

Anyone have any thoughts on Fulham Home to Brighton?  Anything I'm missing?

Fulham 2.94 , Brighton 2.72

I can't be having Brighton being faves at Fulham tbh although admittedly may be too early in season to say.

Brighton have only won 2 away from home in 2015 and I just don't rate Chris Hughton as a manager.

They beat a fairly poor Forest team 1-0 on opening day but wernt too special.
Fulham, unlucky not to come away with a win at Cardiff after late worldy from Noone and read that Fulham dominated for periods even though stats may not show that.

Expecting Fulham to be a much better outfit this season and look to have a fairly settled Manager/squad and even made 5 changes midweek in the cup without it looking too under-strength.
Very much different to the circus they had at the start of last season which looked like they might go down at one point!

Kit symons has came out and said he wants to make Craven Cottage a fortress and will have them fired up I'd hope!

Recommend £30-40? Unless any big disagreements.

views please

Would second this, far too big a price at nearly 3.0 on betfair.

Only 14 left in the biggie at Ripon but still showing as 1/4 five places on Lolbrokes site. With BOG.

Whether they'll honour it or claim it as an each-way stips plopable is the question.

They've clearly reformed the market so I would assume they know what they are doing.

Gl with that assumption.

It is their headline advert in their main centre page advert in the RP today so they might just be sucking it up.  Have to agree with double up here.  They have reformed the market so many times with so many non runners even lolbrokes most junior lol trader would have realised the e/w terms might need changing surely if they won't holding the 5 places?  Still showing as one of their 8 rolling headline promos on the front page of their website as well.  15.30 Ripon paying 5 places with no * for T&C apply.

Just looks like yet another case of the marketing department having the final say over the days big racing promo over the head of racing who must have known this race would cut up massively with the weather over the past two days.

Getting very close to hills supreme novices chelt offer from yesteryear.  Tempted to get in the car and smash up a couple of shops if they are honouring it.

Word is they are, even with 13 runners. Got BOG and five places, which is insane. Not sure what sort of £ you'll get on though.

We should just back every horse in the race if they are 100% paying 5 places.  BOG just an added bonus.

It is pretty hard for them to not honour it given how they worded their centre page RP advert tbh.  There is no get out T&C* next to the offer.  It simply says '5 places in the GSTW'.  no mention of non runners etc etc in the small print.  Worse case spot would be 8-11 runners because they would pay 1/5 odds place rather than 1/4 technically for the bonus 5 places.

5 Places offer is online and mobile only.  Not shops.  So i assume shop bets will just revert to standard place terms.

Huge possibility they change the ew terms after the race.

I certainly wouldn't put it past them.

Wouldn't be happy flicking in chunks with them online, a, because you wouldn't be happy they're sticking to the terms until they've actually paid out and, b, because it would insta-screw the account.

They have to suck it up imo based on the awful advert wording.  Pretty tough to weasal out of it imo.  Someone in the marketing department will currently be getting fired for the advert imo.

The other reason i believe they have decided to suck it up is they are now bottom price every horse on oddschecker to minimise the damage.  They were aggressively top price numerous horses this morning before all the NR's.

Yeah, playing 1 or 2 for normal stakes would be fine.

If you started backing 6 or 7 you might as well start looking for a new account now.

Agree.  You either do 1 or 2 against the field or max it out backing the lot for max stakes and just write off the account.  Sitting in the middle is pointless.

Course at Newbury described by the jockeys as "dead", "gluey" and "sticky". The CoC says it's drying up, but with wet patches.

Any room in the Hungerford for a front runner holding on for a place? That is the Spirit is 22/1 with Billy Mountain and the Green Bookie. St James is 20/1 but 1/4 odds, all for three spots.  12 runner race isn't ideal but just curious as to whether there's anything in it. Can accommodate if Fred wants.

Sunderland 19/10 now.  Surely we got to have an interest at this price?  Not sure if Tighty is going to be back before kick off.  £50 down to me if he is.

The Norwich price means Stoke should be odds on when they go to the stadium of light.

USPGA Golf losers taken

Players who have missed the cut already

-£4 Kjeldsen
-£20 Scott
-£20 Luiten
-£15 Martin

Unfortunately we don't seeem to have sweats in the rest of the book, but you never know

month to date +£13
forward book £3400

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eCEvN9MELsUxB81rHuWrfoX3zwIMPQQ205Lcjm3kbgU/edit#gid=28

Let's not get too despondent.

The course yielded a 63(-9) yesterday so anyone who makes the cut is still in with a chance, we're getting six places too.

This and the course is a bit weird.  You can get in a really crappy spot in a tiny bunker as Tiger Woods demonstrated a couple of times yesterday, and you can get a 7 on a par 3 as Fowler demonstrated.

I am sure a few here have got decent bets on Speith at 20/1 after Chompy's post back in the day.  Sure there a few anti funking/funking Jason Day too. I am watching him from behind the sofa.  Matsuyama can still come good too and save the day.

Shy had the same offer but stated would be first 4 instead of 5 if 15 or less ran. Wouldn't be shocked to see crooks do same. Got to pay first 4 at least surely which with 13 runners is still a gr8 bet.
