i am also mindful that we should go easy this weekend, as tikay points out on the previous page.

Is my assumption wrong that no race would void all bets?

it would, but you still have a high wind tropical storm variable that could thrown any bet/analysis off, assuming the race runs.

Agree - extreme conditions may well produce extreme results.

Not doubting ANY of the bets, just urging a little weather-related caution.

Ah I see.

I'm not overly concerned about that as I have taken it into consideration with my bets, but I will proceed with caution Smiley

The closer it gets to FP1, the more it looks like we're going to get no running at all today ..

What are the chances that Manor do a glory run in the wet to top the session? Stevens is 500/1 with Scuy and Unibet ..

Sky are quite strange. They will lay very big bets to brand new accounts, maybe take three or four big bets and then will restrict you to peanuts not only whether you win or lose but also whether you are made sharp bets or not.

If you opened a brand new account and placed three or four large bets where Sky were not top price and where the odds did not beat Betfair you would still be restricted.

It appears that they don't want to lay big bets even to mug punters.

I have no idea what criteria they use to restrict or not, Lisa, but I can assure you they do lay VERY big bets indeed to some punters, real nosebleed stuff.  I could speculate on how they decide, but I'd best not. Wink

Yes, I was sure to put ' appears '. Smiley

I am in and out of thread sporadically Tighty and caught the first message only earlier today and could have easily missed it, if you ever have the unfortunate task of wanting my advice again (along with anyone else), just throw me a pm and i will respond on thread Smiley

Will respond to Palace Leicester after I put up this bet.

I suggest £41 West Ham +0.5 Asian Handicap at 1.97 with BV

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/west-ham-v-chelsea/asian-handicap

4th in the league are 3/1 at home to 12th place. I could recommend the West Ham win here, but this game could be tight and want the buffer. Yes it is Chelsea but they have been short of inspiring and think that the price is going off of their reputation more than current status. They looked poor at home to Villa, in what really should have been a romping with the players of their apparent class. I think West Ham looked good against Palace before and after our sending off and granted that was away from home when at home they are statistically a lot worse, but I think they can get something tomorrow.

I think at the price and getting two results of the three it is still a good value bet even if it loses.

In the last 4 matches, Leicester have conceded the most headed attempts of any Premier League side - 12.

In the last 4 matches, Crystal Palace have racked up the most attempts coming from Set Plays of any Premier League side - 22.

Scot Dann anytime 12/1 with Betfred.

Unsure whether Hangeland or Delaney will play so will await team sheets before adding one of those two as well.

Looks a good home for a fiver.

question for ant040489

Palace at set pieces. a big threat, or no more than any other team?

the back four are all big, Jedinak is tall, bolasie is etc etc

i know i am inviting warantpeace again, i know

but i like palace at leicester this weekend at voer 2/1. we are a tiny side, apart from the two centre backs we don't have any size at all. vulnerable at set pieces every game as shown at southampton last weekend

conceded 17 goals this season, scored 19 and lethal on the counter but that plays more away from home than at home

The Dann/Hangeland bets look a superb spot considering the stats posted. I really do think it will be Hangeland starting, and he is a bigger threat than Dann from set pieces imo, but both are well worth a bet.

For the Palace win. I just don't really know enough about Leicester to feel comfortable posting a recommendation.

How well do they play against teams that sit back against them? Could both teams turn up tomorrow and both look to counter while playing deep and it just be quite a turgid affair?

Defensively Palace are probably more solid, and with both playing similar styles that could come out on top especially with Palace's away record, but we have been light in the striking department and Puncheon has decided to be really off form. I wonder how our goals are going to come. Whereas Leicester do not with Vardy on such great form.

Have so many conflicting views over the game that I can't have a decent guess. Do I think Palace look alright at 3.5? Yes. But I don't know enough.

I watched the Pardew press conference and he could be starting Bamford which will be refreshing in that it is something new. If he however starts no striker and goes with Bolasie up top, definitely do not back Palace. If interested you need to at least wait for the teamsheet.

It's a totally genuine question. I think he has huge knowledge of the sport but is bad at betting on it.
