The Welsh Grand National is today, & they go 10/1 the field.

Anything look interesting?

Note that the better Firms go quarter odds 5 places.

Red devil Lads at 16/1.  Young, goes on the heavy, is 16/1 5 places with hills.  Suggest 25 e/w on the mobile.  There is a slight staying doubt, but can live with that I think at 16/1.

Was going to suggest Cogry too, but Hills just cut it to 8/1 from 10/1 as I bet.  Hate that, as I just ignore pop ups as a rule, and half the time I miss the warning.  As I did today obv.  Grrrrrrr.  If you can get 10/1 elsewhere then it is good for the win.  Don't think anyone is 10/1 and 5 places now so e/w is a bit meh.

Actually can we do Cogry at 9/1 with Victor or corall too.  25 e/w with 5 places at 9/1 Pls.  It is much the same as 10/1 with 4 places at spoils.

Thanks.

I was confused by "Red devil Lads", thought you meant Ladbrokes.....

I'm not sure if Tighty is around, so I've done that bet on WH Mobile.

£25 EW @ 16/1, qtr odds 5 places, Red Devil Lads.

Ha, love the photo of the Exeter interview room. Life at the bottom, not easy.

A most enjoyable game, I thought. The state of the pitch must have seemed like a municipal park pitch to the Liverpool boys, used to playing on billiard table smooth pitches. The home crowd revved up, the Liverpool kids trying to impress, all make for interesting viewing. Klopp is a TV Director's dream, too, so animated, & smiles so readily. No idea how good a manager he is, but I love watching & listening to him.

Mr Tisdale cuts quite a dash, too, he carries off a hat very well.

Talking of which, tell me your view on Dele Alli. To my ignorant eye, he looks something very special indeed, & must be a large part of Spurs over-performance this season.

Now rated at £50m? Incred. Another decent chunk winging its way to MK Donks in due course. Think this will start a trend of Prem clubs taking chances on L1 and L2 players, which can only be a good thing. Tom Nichols is going to be in demand after last night.

As you do.

Double-header in the big bash tomorrow, games on at 5.20am (think I'll watch that on record!) then The Heat are on at 8.25am. Don't know how we are off with puntway, but they are the ones offering the "how many wickets in the game" market. The standard line they have for every game is over/under 13.5.

In 23 games so far this season (24th in play at the moment, unders looks like copping) there has been 19 games with under 13.5 wickets and only 4 that have gone over.

In the majority of games, if a side batting first loses a lot of wickets they've scored a below-par total and the side batting 2nd can win with ease. Examples of these types of games are:

Heat 117-7 - Scorchers replied with 118-1
Sixers 112-8 - Scorchers replied with 114-1
hurricanes 124 ao - Stars replied with 126-2

Sides batting 2nd who are chasing a big score can lose a lot of wickets, but then the majority of sides who've racked up a big score batting first have had big contribution from a couple of top order batsman, so in turn haven't lost many wickets themselves. Examples of these types of games are:

Heat 164-8 - chasing Hurricanes 184-3
Heat 179-9 - chasing Hurricanes 194-4
Scorchers 138 ao - chasing Strikers 174-2

Then you have the even contests, where sides who score around a par total have lost around 5-6 wickets, with similar in reply. Examples of this is:

Thunder scored 178-6, Stars replied with 177-5
Renegades scored 172-4, Sixers replied with 174-7
Sixers scored 139-6, Stars replied with 143-5

Hobart have played 6 games, 4 have been unders. Scorchers have played 6 games, 5 have been unders. Sixers have played 6 games, 4 have been unders. Heat have played 6 games, 6 have been unders. 5/6 under 13.5 wickets in the Hurricanes v Scorchers game, 9/10 under 13.5 wickets in the Sixers v Heat game.
