To be fair Champagne went off a lot shorter than 66-1.

Great day for BE - the winner and a 10-1 place. I'm glad I kept following Neil's tips through a little baron spell.

Not a good start for the Arabians, 46/2 off 8.5 overs. Need to get a move on, would think 140 would be a good total on thi pitch, its the 3rd time is been used in 2 days, so Murali and Saqlain should go ok on it.

Sangakkara and Hodge now at the crease.

89/4 off 14.1 Sangakkara gone for 30 and things are NOT looking good for the bet at the minute!

130/7 off 20 over, so an uphill task ahead in the second half. Need Murali and Saqlain to cause mayhem, and Mills, Onions and Naved to not get pezzled everywhere first up.

Just had a quick look at some stats.

Between Dec 10 and Jan 15, Pardew's net spend at Newcastle was £67.1 million.

So far in his first year in charge McClaren's net spend is £73.15 million.

In Pardew's 3 full seasons at Newcastle they finished 5th, 16th and 10th.

Newcastle currently sit in 17th.

I don't have any allegiance to Newcastle or Pardew, other than hoping as a northern club they do well, but this Pardew hate is just way, way over the top.

Tighty mentioned it previously, most neutrals think he did a decent job.

Chesterfield into the relegation zone for the first time all season.

They have two six-pointers in the next week, away at Colchester and home v Crewe.

Going to be a pivotal week.

....and I think savage is a leicester legend.

Dont give a damn about pardew, think mcclaren is his clone.

The first half was so like a game against everton under pardew its scary. Lining up wrong then blaming your best creative player.

Lions 89/4 off 14 overs, needing 7 an over. Just seen the worst LBW decision ever given in our favour, batting now relying on botha and Styris. Another wicket now makes it interesting!

Not a rugby fan at all but George North comes across as a bit of a twat. Interviewer points out (justifiably) that its his first international try in a while and his response is "miaow"  Cheesy If a footballer does that he'd be crucified (again justifiably)

Styris gone to a worldy of a catch from that well known fielding expert Shiv Chanderpaul off the bowling of Murali! 92/5, Lara retired hurt on 28, but missed what was wrong with him, so dont know if he is coming back or not.

Required rate now over 8 an over. Interesting!

Edit

38 needed from 4 overs.

95/6 Botha gone, Naved bowling a great over for us here.

95/7!!! Naved with 2 in 2! Horrible yorker for Heath Streak to get first up. Lara coming back in! Absolute drama here!

95/8! Hat trick! Lara cleaned up!!

26 required off the last 2 overs, Robin Petersen smacked murali for a switch hit 6 last over, so this is still alive here.

Rana with a wicket and just 2 runs off his last over! 4-9 off his 4 overs. What a lad! 24 needed off the last over. petersen on strike, Fidel Edwards at the other end.

6 off the first ball of the over as hodge doesnt get rid of the ball in time catching it on the boundary. Useless fat aussie.
