Morning Tighty.

In the Bucharest tennis today Tomic faces Haase. Tomic is deemed favourite and I can't fathom out why. His record on clay is woeful and he seems to treat the clay season as a month long Europen holiday. Haase is not a great clay court played but is certainly better than Tomic. In  comparing their clay records, Tomic has won 17 lost 38, whilst Haase has won 197 and lost 106.

Suggest £15 Haase @ 6/5 with Coral

At it again, ty

I know Brom haven't been anything to write home about by any means, but does anyone else thing they're overpriced at 12's?

Just an observation when looking at the fixtures tonight

Evening Tighty.

Tomorrow Robin Haase meets Verdasco in Bucharest. Verdasco has been priced up as a strong favourite and I think it is much closer than the odds suggest. Verdasco is a reasonable clay courter, better than Tomic anyway, but not a player to be fearful of. They have met 4 times before and Haase leads 3-1 with 2 of his wins on clay, one of them last season. It looks like this match could go ether way so the 11/5 available is decent.

Suggest £15 Haase @ 11/5 with betvictor

You seem to have missed my question earlier Hector.

So maybe Hector mentions stats that *you* don't think are hugely relevant. Does that make the bets Poor selections, or anymore -ev? Perhaps they're mentioned in a bid to encourage new TFT readers to take the plunge in good spots?

I'm trying to learn from the master.

That's why I started this thread, not to just to make money, but to learn how to be a better punter.

Kyren Wilson wins a squeaker 10-9 and moves on to play Mark Allen. Looks a real prospect and showed serious 'bottle'.

Well played Tighty.

Managed to catch the last couple of frames, and it was a nailbiter.  Not sure who he plays next, but he has some game.

Snooker World Championship....

Just had my 1st 'fun bet' through on the snooker @ 13/2 with Carter/K.wilson and M.williams winning @ 13/2. £50 on and a nice return of £375.

My man Trump played a blinder....and my tip overall (ignored dot com) looking good. I have also had lots on bets still on various players/results but I aint inclined any more to post them here.

I know that this thread will only listen to the 'names' on here...like chumpy and boobs and festor. Most of  the other  'tipsters' will be brushed aside, and folk question why this whole set up is wrong. Shame really, as my banker Scott to win CBB was a cert and ignored due to a  'name' opposing it. Hey, no worries.......like a few have indicated on here.....it is a closed shop.

Really hope a few have followed me in on Trump though. I honestly think this could be his year.

Last post here. GL all.

(I still think a Midlands side is 'due' for the title btw Wink

PS...sorry, drunk a bit as it is Thirsty Thursday. Night all.

For crying out loud. I know over many years of dealing with you that you are massively prone to having a chip on your shoulder but this takes the biscuit

Firstly, if it is a closed shop, its a big one. Over 200 people have had bets placed for tikay

Secondly "names"

To give a few examples

- One guy has been a successful pro bettor for 20 years. I know from hundreds and hundreds of bets on here that if tikay backs him blind he will make money

- Another guy has been a successful pro bettor for 15 years. Completely different style. I know from hundreds and hundreds of bets on here that if tikay backs him blind he will make money

- A third guy is completely recreational, loves sport, puts up bets regularly and I know from hundreds and hundreds of bets on here that if tikay backs him blind he will make money

- A fourth guy is an expert in a single sport. I know from hundreds and hundreds of bets on here that if tikay backs him blind he will make money

There are others, and we are lucky to have them all. tikay calls them "elders" but its the core of what we do, not just bet but try to improve as bettors. Their views are going to be listened to

You are not in that "auto bet" category on here yet.

To take your CBB example. One of the guys above disagreed with your view. tikay and I know nothing about CBB so its not surprising that his view carries weight. The fact that his view was wrong is immaterial, we want his opinions

On Trump. I expressed a view that the price was too short given the draw. However IF OTHER PEOPLE HAD AGREED WITH YOU I WOULD HAVE PLACED THE BET for the thread. Its happened loads of times. I am not going to auto-bet your stuff with tikay's money until i know you have a clue though

In addition the thread, its accepted tips and spreadsheet are only the framework around which we can base things on. The important thing is that people can follow what they choose.

As it happened, your Trump recommendation was not ignored, i replied to it. No other views were given. If he wins, I will be happy for you. So will the 18 other people that followed you in but didn't post at the time.

As for Trump playing a blinder. Lets not backfit to suit our case. He was played off the table by Liang at 7-3 down then recovered strongly. By the time he went 8-7 Liang was under huge pressure and underperformed.

Trump's performance was not in the calibre of the first round performances of say Williams, Holt, Higgins, Fu and McGill though of course Trump is more likely to win it than any of them, in part because Robertson's exit has opened his part of the draw up.

Really, if you are gointg to take offence every time you put a tip up and it is not placed then you are going to get very frustrated indeed.
