Would you rather bet Watford at home to villa at 8/12 (4/6) or Everton at home to Bournemouth at 11/12?

Seems like Bournemouth season is over, Watfords is over, Villas is over but Everton and Martinez have a lot of prove and big players like Stones, Barkley and Lukaku who are on their day better than anything Bournemouth have to offer will be trying very hard to potentially get places in teams for Euros or perhaps impress the new managers that will be in control at the bigger teams next season.

I would back half the Championship to beat Villa at home at 4/6.

Depends if you think Watford are a bottom half Championship side.  They have been playing like one for a few months now and would be deep in this relegation battle if it wasn't for their incredible start.

Personally, I'd not bet either, as they don't seem to me to particularly represent value, except compared to each other.

Ideally, before my money goes down, I want a clear sign that I have genuine value.

Flores has been given the tin tack according to local papers

I am more inclined to back Bournemouth/lay Everton.  Just think the sides are pretty equal and don't see why their players will be trying any harder than Bournemouth.

Isn't the Stoke/Sunderland game of more interest? Stoke have been a better side than Sunderland all season yet the match is priced as if Sunderland are the better side.  I am fairly sure we dug up some stats later year or the year before that showed that teams with more to play for don't do significantly better at the end of the season than they did earlier in the season.   I read somewhere the other day that this year's premier league midtablers have performed badly in recent weeks, but that may well be just variance.

does anyone like the odds-against Ding to win over the first four frames today against McManus?

http://www.oddschecker.com/snooker/world-championship/alan-mcmanus-v-ding-junhui/first-4-frames

4/6 or lower in the first 8 frame market, which is understandable enough

we saw in 3 of the 4 quarters that the player entering the match with little rest started slowly

Hawkins was 7-1 down in a Camel special, Kyren was 6-0 down, Higgins went 3-1 down to McManus before settling into it

Ding has had a day off after beating Williams with a session to spare, McManus beat (surprisingly) Higgins 13-11 at 10pm last night in an attritional one

Could be vulnerable to a slow start today in the afternoon match?

Would have been all over this if Fu v Selby had been on first.

Seemed like Fu had a much more emotional win and was wobbling badly towards the end of his game, while Selby, after looking really out of touch and vunerable in the first round, has been steadily more impressive as the tournament has worn on. He's "growing into the tournament" as one of those old time commentators used to say.

McManus looked very strong at the end of his game v Higgins, and however much the interviewer tried to goad him into saying how surprised he should be at making the semi final, Angles was steadfast in saying "Why shouldn't I be here? I've been playing really well all season. It might be a surprise to you, it isn't to me" and stuff like that.

If McManus was favourite for the session, I'd obviously play, but at the prices, I think it's a pass.

Only one race left at Romford this afternoon but the railers haven't had a fair run.  All mid/wide all afternoon.  611pm the lucky last if you fancy a spin.

635 result in the lucky last.  All the money on the machine was for the 3 dog (went off 5/2 jt fav with the 6), had a solo but still got picked off late by the 6 and nearly the 5 powering home on the better ground.
