no 20/1

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/newmarket/15:40/winner

i can get 1/5 18-1 or 1/4 16-1

any preference?

i am going offline, so have to choose

reduced the stake a bit

        Bet Type: Single
            Newmarket [15:40] 1m Group 1 Stakes
                Midweek 16/1
                Each Way: 1/4 1 - 3
Possible Payout (inc. stake) 440.00 GBP
    2 bets @
    20.00 GBP

    Total Cost: 40.00 GBP
Total Possible Payout (inc. stake): 440.00 GBP

Sorry was busy.  Price is everything.  If I thought 16/1 e/w was a good bet, I would have included it.  For those not on, I'd take win only on the exchange at close to 20/1

In answer to John Charver, the race has a short priced favourite and a few rags, so quarter first 3 is fine if we are close to the exchange win price.   Quarter first 4, as sky is, would be really too generous if they were close to top price.  When you are taking a fifth or taking a big hair cut on the win vs the exchange you are likely better just doing both win and place on the exchange.

Sky are insane going a quarter four places here.

Just check out the 'Four TBP' prices for the likes of Ballydoyle and Alice Springs.

In terms of spreads,

Buying Haas Multi-Finishing Positions at 125 looks like a good spot to me. The maximum score is 144, and it would take very unusual circumstances for them to get under this, they've been nowhere since Bahrain. Not going to suggest a stake because it depends on how much you're willing to risk really given how harsh these markets can be if you do lose.

Obviously Ding can fall in a hole mentally.  We have seen that before and Selby can play shit for 17 days and still win.  I just seriously don't get this price.

Can't log onto exchange from here but think I have a ton on Ding at 20-1 or 25-1.  Going to let it run at the prices.  Thought Ding would be stronger favourite today.

I thought he would be around the 8/13 range to 100% tbh.  He has rest advantage, scoring advantage all week (set all time scoring records for the event already).  Selby has played a guy with a broken tip who couldn't take advantage of his opportunities and he only just fell over the line.  He played the longest frame in history as well just to prolong the agony (although Selby probably is proud of that record).    Ding must have substantially less table time than Selby so far (like several hours less over the event).

If Ding does win i don't think it will be a close contest.  Far more likely he just blows Selby away than the other way around so it might be worth looking at some of the extreme hcaps for a bigger priced interest.

Any love for Captain Bob in the 3pm at HQ?

First time Quinn is riding for the stable and off his minimum weight. Trainer in form and better ground will suit.

16 runner handicap with 4 paid. 20/1 with Scuy (for non employees) and BFSB (for fellow ice creams). Can accommodate Fred up to £20 each way if so desired.

Tighty is AWOL, gone to watch a football match where a mediocre team are looking to make headlines by beating Leicester City.

I'll try & work though a few of these suggestions, bear with me please.

I'll leave that if I may, Rick.

On reflection, I think "First 8", albeit at a much lesser price, is better value. With "First 4", we have to win 3-1 or 4-0, whereas First 8 would give us more wriggle room.

Thanks anyway.

Morning Tighty.

Diego Schwartzman plays Grigor Dimitrov in the final of the Turkish ATP today. Dimitrov is the higher ranked player and the one people will want to back. Schwartzman plays nearly all his tournaments on clay and has been playing well. His route to the final was much tougher than Dimitrov's and in beating Dzumhur and Delbonnis he has shown he has the capability of winning this tournament. I think the bookies have under estimated Schwartzman and we should back him.

Suggest £15 Schwartzman @ 5/2 with betfred or ladbrokes.

Thanks hector, & at least that was nice & easy, we are all aboard.

£15 @ 5/2, BetFred, Schwartzman to be our Turkish delight.

April 2016 Figures
Least profitable: MotorSport (-£131.00)

This annoys me greatly. Let me be clear right now, Motorsport will be most profitable in May. No question.

And I hope you are, Peter, but no matter how good you are, variance is a beast, & it can affect even the best.

Don't worry about the odd loss, just keep doing the right things.

I'll have a bash at some of your Recommends shortly, but I fear I won't get many on, as we can't bet with some, & are severely restricted with others.

The important thing is that others can get on, that's the thing that matters.
