Really good cricket story that yesterday. They do look a throwback to the old style, stoutly built young farmer type of one-day cricketers you saw in the 80s and 90s. Great shout, Tighty.

Sobering that cricket's commercial showpiece pays like this, though.

Morning Mr T.

Not a good week. First my tennis bod wins 2-0, with 6-0 in the 2nd set and promptly decides he's too injured to continue in the tournament. Then my rugby league chaps take the lead with a minute to go and all they have to do is catch the ball from the kick off, which they fail to do and concede a try in the last play of the game.

Undaunted I will try a couple of try scorer bets. First off anyone with an account with the unmentionable company should back Rhys Hanbury to score for Widnes today @ 11/10. My second bet, which someone may kindly do for us is Ukuma Taai to score for Huddersfield against Batley. He is 7/4 with Paddys.

Just my 2 pennythworth, but Murray for SPOTY. He already has the Olympic gold, Wimbledon, and the US open is looking very likely, and also in the semis of the Davis cup

Morning hector.

Not sure, but I think tighty either missed this, or could not get on.

Anyway, for members of Team hector, Rhys Hanbury scored for Widnes, so that one got home.

In the other game, Taai never got on the scoresheet for Huddersfield as far as I can ascertain from perusing, as I do every morning over breakfast, my copy of the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. They battered Batley 58-28.  How could he not score in such a rout will remain forever a mystery.

Quite what Eso Kral is doing in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner remains to be seen.

Morning Mr T.

I knew Tighty couldn't do those bets as they were with restricted accounts so no problem. It seems that the bookies that have the most outliers in the try scorer markets, Ladbrokes, Paddy and Sky, are accounts that are no use to us. I was wondering if on your daily 4 mile walk whether you pass any bookies that you could pop into to get on for fred?

As for Ukuma Taai not scoring in the rout of Batley- c'est la vie mon frere.

Now you mention it, yes, there is a Ladbrokes quite close to my daily walk, in Hampton Court Parade, right opposite the Station & Cigarette Island Park.  I do a full circuit of Cigarette Island every day.

It's been around 40 years since I last placed a bet in a bookies shop, so it might be a challenge at first, but happy to give it a whirl.

Might need sonour or one of her team of hubbies to educate me in how to fill in the slip for some of the more obscure markets we like to get on, & to wise me up to the dodges.

Would be useful for the NFL season too, as Laddies offer quite a range of specialist NFL markets on games, & we used to do a lot of them back in the day.

Let's give it a try. The daily walk generally takes place at around 2pm daily, earlier at weekends.

How exciting, going into a Turf Accountants, & mixing with the general public.

No danger there hector, slots don't interest me one iota. There are zillions of them in Vegas, & I never go near them. Strangely addictive things, from what I can gather.

Tikay in a betting shop, this is going to be fun.

Define "fun"......

Wink

I'm a bit nervous actually, but if it re-opens some of our NFL, Football, Gee Gees & RL markets, worth a go.

Incred potential for the real life version of misclicks, too.

I actually worked as a settler in a betting shop for several years as a youngster. No Genie Settling machines then, did it all in my head.

With the NFL season just around the corner, we are blessed with several experts here who have given us good value stuff since Fred started.

Amongst those NFL geeks, one who seems to come up with some great stuff is Tighty, but you know what he is like, he is a bit reluctant to post his own stuff. He is also committed to BE, for whom he does stuff, so it's all a little awkward.

Tighty has written a lengthy piece on the upcoming NFL Season for Betting Emporium, 6,000 words or so (not sure I even know 6,000 words), & it includes all sorts of tips at prices up to 50/1.

If anyone wants to have a peruse, & come up with a few Recommends from his Ant style write up, feel free to stick them up & then we can badger Tighty to get them on. (Including our new Ladbrokes facility).

It is FREE TO VIEW, no subs required, though if you think it is good value, you might want to consider buying Mr Channing's package, which comes in at £100 for the whole season. There is also a link to an intro by Neil, in which he describes how it will work.

Tighty's piece is here.....

Reading Tightys write up would like to recommend £50 Vikings winning the NFC North.Vikings defense spent 2days destroying the bengals in joint practices and treadwell is a legit deep threat.Cant bring myself to agree on the Giants while Newhouse starts at right tackle..

Are these stats on BE all correct? It states since 2013 the NFL section is running at a loss.  2015/16 the outright showing 50% Roi but the regular season in minus figures. Has this been the same with the previous seasons since 2013?, the outright winning but the regular season (week to week picks) stuff keeping the overall total in minus profit?
