Incredible scenes at the Amex yesterday as Brighton celebrated promotion to the big league for the first time in a generation..

But for looking at Twitter and Brighton messageboards, it seems the players might have celebrated a bit TOO hard. They were still out partying and drinking well after midnight.

Indeed, someone has posted they had a drink with Knockaert and Dunk in Seafront bar this afternoon!

They play away at Norwich in about 72 hours time and I imagine several of the players will still be suffering the after effects of the exuberance.

Norwich are in the best form they've been in all season (lost one of their last eight) and I expect them to beat the bedraggled Seagulls.

Rec £200 at 6/4 with Paddy Power if you can.

Reminds me of that sickening bet on carlisle because hartlepool had just survived relegation and were still tanked 24hrs before travelling to carlisle last day of the season, carlisle led 3-0 at half time.....the bet didnt win lol.

Very similar spot.

We are getting 6/4 about a 6/5 shot.

Unfortunately 6/5 shots have an annoying habit getting chinned 54.55% of the time.

I remember Bobby1 - remember him? - flagging up Luca Brecel as a snooker player to watch a few years ago.

If he played better position he could be a world-beater.

Phil usually goes to a few sessions of the World Snooker, and I've been trying to spot him in the audience, but not seen him yet.

I've always wanted to go and watch the snooker, really need to do that at some point.

Did I see you cashed in a UKOPS event last night Peter? Pretty sure I saw your name there when I was working through the results.

Technically, yes, but not really. Played in the £55 turbo bounty hunter and took one head. Got knocked out around 20 places before the money.

I don't really get the time to invest in poker much any more, which is a shame because I really felt I was getting to grips with it when I was playing regularly.

In that tournament, I was sat on a table with Mr. Doobs for a while Smiley

I went with my Dad 30+ years ago to the Hexagon in Reading. Eddie Charlton vs Nigel Bond. Unsurprisingly, I've never wanted to go again.

i rememberalmost three years ago to the day we'd won the championship on the sunday and on wednesday night we were home to brighton, sell out crowd, party atmosphere, national tv coverage

players had been on the piss for 48 hours, you immediately saw it pre-game they ambled through a normally intense warm-up then got tonked 4-0 at home. immediately thought of this when the bet suggestion went up

Knockaert was part of that crew too. a fine player, but loves a party that boy

Phil usually goes to a few sessions of the World Snooker, and I've been trying to spot him in the audience, but not seen him yet.

After 30 years of saying "I'm definitely going to the Crucible next year" and not doing it, I've finally got my arse into gear and got tickets for me and Jake next weekend.

Cannot wait!

Morning Ralph, Tony, Keith.

Luca has fallen into the old Cliff Wilson 'every shots a pot' mentality which is great to watch but is just making his results very unpredictable. If they mainly go in he wins but if the frames get messy he just doesn't have a plan B.

Hope you get some close games Keith, it's a superb small venue and its size increases the tension and adds to the enjoyment. I heard a commentator the other day  say that snooker here was like watching top class sport and basic human frailty at the same time. And because you are so close to the players you feel it all.

The most tension I ever felt there was also just about the worst final I ever saw there but the fact the two players were shitting themselves just added to the drama and tension.

Hope you get a couple of tight last frame wins bud.

How bad is Trump playing?  Rory is such a jobber it is amazing he is still on tour after all these years.  26 years as a pro.  Makes G Dott look like Alex Higgins in the break building department.  Someone has just had a bullseye on Rory at 180/1 on the machine to win it all!  People say there is no value on the machine any more!

£440k in 26 years prize money!  £17k a year!

far weaker bottom half of the draw really wide open if trump loses

selby,fu, murphy, ronnie, ding all in the top half

bingham/wilson,higgins/allen second round winners and hawkins all realistic e/w betting shots if judd goes

Have you been watching your RTR tip, Xiao? Leads 5-3 I think, against Ryan Day, but neither of them playing great.

10-8 or so either way at the end i reckon. Xiao played much better in qualifying. I find Day to be pretty flaky, certainly very beatable.

so far 13 completed matches, 13 favourites win

the draw was disappointing, put a lot of the up and coming qualifiers against the better seeds,so upset potential far less than it might have been

14/1 hawk ew 1/2 1,2 with lolbrokes is the bet.  Potentially have to beat a combo of Dott, lolrory or on fire to reach the semis!  7/1 to reach the final is an incredible price for those lucky enough to get on.
