shouldn't we be backing this at 50-1 for eurovision?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKoEt0-9ujA

very catchy, and a nutty bald bloke that makes it a bit different/camp

says much about me probably, but i liked it watching last night

thank you for tip i could only get on next door which had EW top 5

i think Norway won the public votes
Got a small profit from a cover bet on Norway top Scandi act (only by 6 points too).

Me too

Now this was lucky - turns out they mucked up the Belarus vote and on the recount Sweden actually beat Norway by 3 points.

Wink

Am quite sad about this to be honest, though it's been on the cards since the deal was signed. I like him very much.

He's come out of the deal very nicely indeed, & good luck to him.

Sure he'll be alright. No doubt he's worth a few more quid than he was Smiley

So if you thought that Boris was opposable (a serial liar, cheat, buffoon who should be favourite due to his appeal to blue rinse tory members but its odds on so any value has gone)

who would you think might be the value?

I have one name.

A way to think about the Tory leadership contest is that there are two sides of a Cup draw, both of which will send one candidate to the members and the "final".

There’s the full Brexit side of the draw—Boris, Raab, McVey, Leadsom, Baker

and the Cabinet side—Hunt, Javid, Gove, Hancock, Stewart

If i hypothesise that anyone in the Cabinet is damaged goods (they helped preside over the last six months) with the leadership voters in the country and that the Tory membership won't put a remainer in charge, they want Brexit pdq

that leaves us Raab, a man who did a deal and then voted against it. Surely can't make it through a months hustings unscathed

Leadsom, who resigned with two days to spare. Opportunist.

that means I am predisposed on value grounds the most "user friendly" of the 2015 intake - i can easily see it skipping a generation here for a fresh start  -

James Cleverly at 50-1.

and a lovely 110 on the exchange for the first to get it https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/politics/market/1.125574963

That price will come in.

ex army officer, cheery, patriotic, wide tory shires appeal likely. not tainted by cabinet, voting remain etc.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/05/23/james-cleverly-cheery-patriotic-principled-peacemaker-tories/

He is a big price, but to win needs Boris to self combust. I think there could easily be Boris horrors from the press in the next month

to bet it you have to assume Boris has skeletons in the closet.

I think we all assume that Boris has a closetful of skeletons.
Do we also  have to assume that someone will open the right closet and invite us to have a look at the skeletons. If they are just run of the mill infidelity does that damage him any more than he already is?

Seems unlikely that there is anything of a financial nature hidden away. He already declares his £40k ph fees for public speaking... even if, on occasion, he has to be reminded to do so.
