US Open tennis Murray v Raonic
I have been waiting for the moment to oppose Murray in this tournament and this is it. Murray has looked laboured in this competition and has struggled since his Olympic win. He took 4 hours to beat Feliciano Lopez in the last round and won 3-1. Later he plays Raonic, who has a huge serve and leads the tour in aces. In his last match Raonic beat former world number 4 Blake in straight sets, winning an impressive 89% of points on first serve. In their only previous meeting, in April this year, Raonic triumphed on a clay court, which is neither players preferred surface.
We can get 11/4 on Raonic with Bet365 but the 5/2 available at many other places is acceptable.
Recommend £20 on Raonic.
Thanks hector.
That looks like a splendid "sporting" bet, almost a Mini-Banzai to me, though I claim zero tennis knowledge. You are on a roll, so happy to go with it blind.
We al want, & expect, Murray to win, but 13/5 looks like that great God "value" to me.
We have £20 @ 13/5 with Sporting Bet, Murray to lose to the other chap.

Does this thread have Bwin?
Yup.
For geeks itt, we have placed 13 bets with BWin, totalling £494, losing £122.30 in the process for a negative ROI of 24.96%.
Spotted a bargain we can correct that with?
Yeah.
Mardy Fish v Roger Federer in the tennis tonight.
I recommend £80 on Mardy Fish
UNDER
12.5 Games @ 17/20
(Bwin)
http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/us-open/mens-us-open/roger-federer-v-mardy-fish/total-fish-games
Fish looked totally out of sorts the other night, scraping past an injured Simon who couldn't serve with any pace at all in 4. Fish hit an amazing 75 unforced errors which is virtually unheard of in 4 sets, 2 of which were short and only got 54% of first serves in. Now he comes up against the greatest of all time.
I think its unlikely he will get 12 games and I couldn't make this any bigger than 8/13.
I would be interested in some sort of alternative handicap at a speculative price but the only one that seems to be floating about is -11.5 @ 15/2 with Paddy Power and Fish only winning 6 games with his serve does seem a bit of a stretch too far.
Thanks Brent.
Have decided to go with this (though only small money), but have gone for the "under 33.5" line suggested by snowball. "Ownership" (or "liability"....) of the bet will be shared 50/50 between you both, which seems right.
We have £33 @ 10/11 on UNDER 33.5 games, with Ladbrokes, Mardy Fish v King Federer.
The Bet Receipt just says "Under", but it is under 33.5.

No groups yet in X Factor but I noticed in the clips of what's happening next week there seemed to be a couple. Wonder why the wait? Do you think they'll manufacture some again? After the success of Little Mix, it's has to be an consideration.
A good friend's nephew is on soon in a boy band called ; GMD3 ( 3 good looking friends from stage school)
Louis has compared them to JLS !....and they got a standing ovation from all judges at auditions.
I think he said they got through to judges houses....so could be a good bet for top 3?

Ripple...
Imo the best idea is to get in touch with a few of the firms pricing up X Factor and ask them for a price about this group.
The only groups currently in the list are 2b Steam and Mia And The Moon. Don't remember having seen either of them yet? Both are 66-1+.
Might also be worth asking about a price for a manufactured boy and girl group, see if any of them fancy risking it. Don't ask don't get.

In Golf, we have a teeny-weeny squeak with both Snedeker & Dufner, but both are 10 shots adrift. However, that £10 loss is likely to be well covered by our “Top Korean” bet, £32 @ 15/8. We only have one oppo left, Sang-Moon, who shot 6 over yesterday, to end 5 over. Just as well, as Dr Noh had a bad day too, 4 over, to end up 5 under. So, we take a 10 shot lead into the final day, today.
Sang Moon currently shooting 4 over par on the first 3 holes, giving the Dr a 14 shot advantage currently.

Anti-bok alert!
The poor chap has only played three holes, & he recorded bogey - double bogey - bogey.
Surely Dr Noh can't give back 14 shots.
Can he?.........

I have always wanted to be able to use one of my favourite expressions " Back the truck up ! ". However with only £32 on Dr Noh I think I will have to settle for " Tikay. Open the glove compartment "

Mega anti bok!!
Sang Moon finished his round a whopping 7 over par, meaning there is a cushion of 17 shots!

With Mardy Fish pulling out, Federer is straight through to the quarters and will almost certainly play Berdych next #usopen
fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffs, he had no interest in getting decimated.

Proudly confirmed.
But......
I never realised you had specified an amount, so I just went for £33.
I have just checked back, and I now realise you suggested £80.
Am happy to put more on ( than my nitty £33) if I get some encouragement that we have a great value bet....

hi, long time no see!!
Better be quick starts in 5 minutes:
Tampa bay rays to beat new york yankees
The pitching battle is quite even with two very good pitcher coming up against each other, but yankees pitcher has only played two games sinces coming back from a minor injury. They are both in very good form though. Also looking at batter vs pitcher they are very even.
The main reason for this bet is yankees have struggled in the runs department of late, in todays line up they are missing two of their stars in curtis granderson and texiara
So that means their line up will be relying on robinson cano, also they have one of their stars alex rodriguez back from injury and he will be batting in a import postition in the middle of the order, but im sure he will rusty only just coming back from a lengthy injury, he has had 7 bats in the A league and didnt get one hit.
Tampa batting line up have been good form in their last seven games, with 5 players who have a average of over .300.
So I would suggest £110 at 11/10 with sky bet, but as i havent given you a winner for a while i understand if you want to restrict it to £55, or not do it at all lol
Anyways it start in 5 so be quick

Good to hear from you Singheee.
I was onto that in a flash, but I cannot get odds against anywhere, best I can see is 10/11 in two spots.
http://www.oddschecker.com/baseball/mlb/new-york-yankees-at-tampa-bay-rays/winner
A bet at 11/10 is not necessarily a bet at 10/11, so I'm going to leave it on this occasion, but if any others get on - & you obv - I hope it gets home.
