I would think its long odds on that if you had the same type of footy bets for the next year and the same basketball bets the ROI on those sports would be much closer together. Don't beat yourself up with the basketball figs Tony, sample is tiny.
I would have to agree with this. We definitely ran waaaaaaay over EV for our footie bets last year (mine included obv) and baseball/golf etc and presumably way below EV for the basketball/F1 and others.
On a side note, is anyone on here going to be in Vegas next week and want to meet up? Going Friday morning for a week. I will be the one playing (and losing) at $1/2 at the MGM every day ordering 'one White Russian AND one beer please' until the point where they say, 'no, you can have a coffee.'

Sounds like the Blue Squirrel ban hammer has smacked you on the bonce.
Given that three of us - horsey, reds & myself - all got restricted, suggests to me it is this particular market/bet that is the problem, not a general restriction on our/my accounts.
I had a winning bet with them today (£30 @ 100/30) and a smaller win (£30 @ 5/6) a week ago, that is my entire September history with them.
Since I re-opened the account (I had a poker account from back in the Tribeca days), I have deposited £600 with them, the last deposit being in March. My current balance is £1,468, so I'm around £800 up in 7 months with them. Surely not enough to warrant restriction?

If you run as well as me you can follow some tips on here, lose and still get restricted.
A High St bookie that won't take a bet to win a grand on a major horserace track is pretty disgusting. If you ask for a bet to win a grand and they won't lay you it, they shouldn't be allowed to advertise the price. Not exactly Fearless Freddie stuff.

And if they do lay it, it almost certainly won't win.

Yeah that worries me too. My account there hasn't won a cup of tea for a long time but it may be an overnight thing.

Tikay, you missed the early 14/1 price on Jonathan Tiernen-Locke in the Tour of Britain. Currently handily placed in 12th spot, 27 seconds down, but in amongst the GC riders. 5/4 with betfair for the overall.
Tomorrow stage 5.
Last year he attacked on this stage at Gun Hill. Fancy he may try again.
Me, I have a fiver on. Hills 16/1.
http://www.oddschecker.com/other-sports/cycling/tour-of-britain/tour-of-britain-stage-5/winner
Thanks Tonji.
The original bet was unfortunate - you got on @ 14/1 as I recall, recommended it whilst 10/1, but it was 5/1 by the time I looked, so I had to blank it.
5/4 now? Wow, nice one!
Anyway, we have had a fiver for Stage 5, @ 16/1, with Wm Hill. I know that area very well, should be quite a spectacle, & it is not every day that Hanley makes the sporting headlines!
ON
13 Sep 2012 - Tour of Britain - Stage 5 - Winner - Stage 5 - Winner
Jonathan Tiernen-Locke @ 16/1
Stake : £5.00
Estimated Returns : £85.00Transaction Reference:O/0457483/0000067/F
Why do you know it well mr K?
I used to do a lot of work in the area. The Shopping Centre (!) in Hanley, most of St Modwen’s Trentham Gardens development, CE work @ Silverdale Colliery, Stoke WRU, the giant Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre, and various stuff for JCB in Rocester, & at their 2 “World Parts Centres” on the A50, & some Shopfitting & Maintenance for 3 local Aldi Supermarkets, as well as the Sainsbury's Retail store.
I was also involved with some delicate restoration work at the residence of John Caudwell (Phones4U founder) in Eccleshall.
I used to play poker at both the G & the Circus, too.
More recently, I go up there for leisure time, there is some grand countryside close by, & I like walking round the Reservoirs such as Tittesworth (sp?), where there are herons & all sorts of wonderful birdlife. Don’t forget, it is only 30 minutes from my home in Derbyshire, so its nice & handy.

I'm rather pleased we have that NFL bet for tomorrow night. I finish work tomorrow @ Midnight, it will be 1am when I get home, so I was already planning to stay up & watch the whole game. Quite looking forward to it, my first stay-up late NFL game. I've got a note from Nurse & everything.
If anyone fancies anything in the game, I'd appreciate a nod. I rather fancy a rushing yards thing, how far the QB chap throws it, or receiver yards or something. I'll be an expert by Friday, know the words, the lot.

I'm afraid our Baseball bet went south, we lost 3-1.
Not sure if this made much difference.....

Arguing balls? Sounds a bit like some blonde threads.
