Tikay, you missed the early 14/1 price on Jonathan Tiernen-Locke in the Tour of Britain. Currently handily placed in 12th spot, 27 seconds down, but in amongst the GC riders. 5/4 with betfair for the overall.

Tomorrow stage 5.

Last year he attacked on this stage at Gun Hill. Fancy he may try again.

Me, I have a fiver on. Hills 16/1.

That is a fascinating pair of groupings Keith and i suppose if you have to only have two groups it isn't too bad.  Seems a bit unfair to me to have Bluesq, Corals and Paddy's in with Fred, Skybet and Boyles though.  Only one thing is for absolute certain and that is that we will beat VC in the long run.  i would bet my life on it.  think we will keep betting Ladbrokes though.  i think their volume means they sometimes don't feel the need to change prices when others would or maybe their books just look different.  Irrespective they aren't afraid to stand one.  having said all of that the only two firms in those lists I can still bet with are Bluesq and Pinny and I know in the long run it will only be Pinny so kudos to them they really are out on their own.

Any thoughts on the 16/1 with Bluesquare on James Jones and Randall Cobb for first TD tomorrow night? Both look very good bets to me even before the news about Jennings almost certainly not playing. I´ve had a small interest in both if Fred is interested I´d recommend a tenner on each. I don´t think the price on either will last long but it´s probably worth seeing what someone like Camel, Stu or Horneris thinks.

yes, they are value for sure if Jennings is out which seems likely.

Coral shops i can on better than Hills, but on the internet, I have always been shut down within a month.

Better than Skybet and VC I grant you, but still pretty pathetic for one of the big names of British bookmaking.

Love the 16/1 Cobb.

He played a much bigger part on the Offense than expected against SF, and has been talked up by McCarthy this week.

Forgot to mention this to you at the weekend tikay

Before the SPT event started you were doing a couple of minutes on the mic

A player walked in late, asked me what seat he was sitting in, looked across at the tables, saw you talking, and said

"Oh wow, you've got Fred Done here commentating"

and walked off to his seat

Thanks Tonji.

The original bet was unfortunate - you got on @ 14/1 as I recall, recommended it whilst 10/1, but it was 5/1 by the time I looked, so I had to blank it.

5/4 now? Wow, nice one!

Anyway, we have had a fiver for Stage 5, @ 16/1, with Wm Hill, for Tiernen-Locke.

I know that area very well, should be quite a spectacle, & it is not every day that Hanley makes the sporting headlines!

My hatred for Fred Done knows no bounds.

I've told this story before, but it bears repeating.

A friend went into a Done's shop and placed a few doubles and trebles.

While he was there he saw someone he knw who he hadn't sen for a couple of years.

They chatted for five minutes and then they both left the shop.

His bet copped. And he won about £1500.

He went back to collect and was told his bet was bet was void and they gave him his money back because the man he was talking to was banned from all Done's shops and "you might have been putting th bet on for him".

Thoroughly disgusting behaviour.

I wouldn't worry about the basketball ROI.

Although Singhee obviously knows his onions, Fred has run like Usain Bolt on baseball.

Seriously, anything more than +5% ROI is fantastic in baseball. And I know a couple of very shrewd baseball punters who live very comfortably off 2%.

Mr Kimber definitely knows his hoops and I wouldn't give up on him if I was you.

F1 is not a sport I bet on or follow at all, but I'd be very surprised if you can't beat it.

agree re betfred but that is hardly surprising

got turned away from a shop last year because i was on the "banned" list

considering i have visited two of his shops in my life a combined total of 4 times and never backed a winner or placed more than twenty pounds in a bet there.

i asked the manager why i was banned?

i looked a bit like a bloke on one of there pictures displayed near the tills.

Thanks kukushy.

We got two pretty quick +1's on that, so we are on.

We had a bit of a prob with the 16/1 @ Blue Square though - I could only get £5 on each.

So I also had £5 on each with Wm Hill @ 14/1.

£5 @ 16/1, Blue Square, James Jones, first TD
£5 @ 16/1, Blue Square, Randall Cobb
£5 @ 14/1, Wm Hill, James Jones
£5 @ 14/1, Wm Hill, Randall Cobb

I have every confidence in Mr Kimber, I think he has just run really badly. And every time he tipped us a winner, I missed it. Ugh.
