Tonigt's Bears - Packers affair.

We have 2 Banzais on already (Cobb or Jones to have first TD @ fancy prices), but Fred won't be backing anything else.

I don't think any single Event has sparked as much debate as this, & I've learned a whole bunch of stuff, so many thanks to all.

But I just don't see - or perhaps, more correctly, recognise or identify - where the real value is, if any, so I'm going to give them all a miss on this occasion. We have both Unders & Overs, Bears & Packers, every which way.

There ARE winning bets amongst the welter of tips & advice - I just can't see which ones they are, so for Fred, I think we will keep our powder dry on this occasion. We don't HAVE to bet.

I've just finished work, & I'm now going to watch my first ever start to finish enneffell jobbie. Really looking forward to it, having read all the stuff Posted, here, & on the NFL thread.

Good luck with whatever you are on!

going to look at odds now, but wigan v man utd could be value, rvp, kagawa, rooney, jones and others all out, wigan have potential to be good.

9's in alot of places, can get 14s at blue square

Manchester United (-3) Handicap      6.0   7.5
Manchester United (-4) Handicap      2.5   4.0
Manchester United (-1) Handicap      16.5   18.0
Manchester United (-2) Handicap      10.5   12.0
Wigan Athletic (-1) Handicap      0.5   1.5

Thanks Pleno. I now need the value wizards do do their sums.

On the NFL thread, Bobby1 wrote this......

"....Ive had a small bet on Green Bay minus 5 at 10/11 by buying the 1/2 pt with Pinny....."

What exactly does the enboldened part mean insofar as how it affects his bet, & price? What did he actually do?

Hi mate,

The Pinny price for Green Bay -5 1/2 was 1.975 at that time, so buy buying the hook (the half point) and taking the line of Green Bay -5 you pay by getting a smaller price. Around the big crucial numbers you pay a premium because the diff between plus 3 and plus 3 and a half is much bigger than getting 5 instead of 5 1/2.

Yup, I can now completely see that, thanks Phil.

Because, allegedly, he is an NFL geek & nutter. There's a lot of 'em about. Wink
