Is Fred on Motherwell??

At present, no.

I don't recall any comments as to the suggested bet, except my views that Rangers may surprise for "psychological reasons".

Happy to invest if we can get some opinions, one way or the other.

For those not familiar with the game, it is Rangers at home to Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup.

Rangers are generally 19/10, Motherwell 6/4, with the draw @ 12/5.

Acesuited suggested a bet on Well at 21/10, obviously that price is long gone and having seen tonights teams it's easy to see why.

Is "FORE!" not a bet, here?

Unless we are talking Tiger on current form, which would be "fore right" or "fore left", I think you belng to a bygone age Mr Tal.

Did you know that today, on this thread, a Gentleman suggested Spurs to win the Premier League?
Not yet sure what Banzai classification that gets.

I've taken up ventriloquism.

It has been said before that I belong to a bygone age, although I note that isn't quite what you said Wink

I did actually wonder for a moment if you had hacked Ace's account.

But in his defence Acey is a supporter of Lenny and the knuckle-draggers so I gave him the benefit of the doubt on this occasion whilst making a mental note for future reference.

They were a good band back in the seventies. Then when punk started to wain in the 80s and the bassist died, they lost their finger on the pulse, which was a shame. They were at Reading but it's not the same.

Ahh yes, so he did.

Well if he stuck it up @ 21/10, & it is 6/4 now, the boat has well & truly been missed.

All things considered, I would have thought Rangers would bust a gut to win this. Every penny of income must be vital.

Arsenal: Martinez, Miquel, Djourou, Angha, Yennaris, Santos, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Arshavin, Giroud

Looks a pretty attacking team for Arsenal and over 2.5 goals is 3/10 on Boyles (only place I've looked so far). So I was quite surprised that Arsenal -2 is 11/10? Any thoughts Gentlemen?

ok, so happy enough that both teams are below strength, as expected

Max bet Motherwell.  Even by missing the early price there is still value in that having seen the team line ups.  Motherwell have gone full strength and have a team that came back from 3 - 1 down to grab a draw at Aberdeen on Sunday.

I have had a big bet on Motherwell, I am also on biggish on over 2.5 goals.

I can't take credit for the Motherwell bet, as much as I would like to.  I have yet to have a winning bet backed by fred.

But another poster stuck it up, I spoke up in favour as I watch quite a good bit of Scottish football and find its the market were I have my biggest edge.  Especially the lower league games.

I would still be happy to back West Brom with that team.  Some talented players there.

Interesting man-management from AVB tonight starting Cudicini with Lloris on the bench.

Do you think this has all the hallmarks of a player that was bought by the club that the manager doesn't want Ralph?

It looks a bit like the Mourinho Shevchenko/ Bogarde situation.
