"Tonight, however, we get back to winning ways, as NFL hotpot Kuku has given us a nice little NFL bet on Tennessee v Pittsburgh (UNDER 42.5) which I'm extremely bullish about. Keep dat faith".

I think Kuku suggested the over. The line has moved in his favour to 43.5 with some 44s breaking out.

I actually quite like under 44 but I hope you went the right way for the fred.

That Nation's Cup picture had me strugglin for one of the names. Did anyone get the name of our internet qualifier? He played decent and I thought we might see him around the circuit in years to come but I don't think I ever have.

I have things to say on the Baltimore game and I wouldn't be rushing to back Dallas but I don't see a need to steam into the Ravens now either. The line is so solid at 3.5 right now and it could just get to 3 by Sunday. The favourite by 3 happens around 14% of the time so it's a pretty important number to get. If you could choose between taking Baltimore at -3.5 at 10/11 or at -3 then for the two prices to be neutral ev you would be able to almost take 8/11 -3. If you can get 4/5 -3 that is better than -3.5 at 10/11.

He did indeed, apologies, & fortunately, I DID (eventually....) put the bet on properly, but I misread the spready, as I am not across the difference between < & >. Oh the shame.

One day I'll own up to the fact that originally I backed that very tip back to front, & so I had to take it on my off-thread account. So I'm either win win or lose lose, I'm not entirely sure which.

The bigger (wider) end of the symbol faces the bigger number.  So 9 > 5, or 5 < 9.  I hope this helps you tick the box.

^^^^

Gotcha bro. Box ticked.

Not sure which most "amuses", tired corporate-speak cliches, or tired poker cliches.

leggggggooooo, oi oi, one time, met.

Anyway, go away, I gotta go have a cheeky tenner on something.

Tennessee is second team in NFL history to allow at least 30 points in its first five games, joining the 1954 Cardinals.

Good for the >, I hope

On the subject of slow players, am I the only one who likes backing Pipe in the darts and Ebdon in the snooker?  I always feel like they are giving 100% attention to all shots and that makes me feel less aggrieved when I do my pods.

The downside for me of ever backing Ebdon is having to watch his match.

I hope you used to also punt Nick Faldo, Terry Griffiths & Cliff Thorburn, too. Steve Davis could be pretty slow, as well.

Note the common theme - all huge winners over the years.

The current fashion for everything fast - food, zoom poker, Bish Bash Bosh cricket, is curious. What happened to savouring every mouthful, the more to enjoy it?

I watched a Test Match recently - proper Test Match - where there was not a run scored in one 6 over spell. Anyone who did not enjoy that does not understand the game.

Damn kids.....

To be fair, the exception often proves the rule.

Former World Champion Dennis "The Menace" Priestley used to take well over 20 seconds to throw three darts.

Took me less than that to type this out on a smartphone.

Indeed.  The simple appreciation of an opening batsman seeing off the new ball without scoring, but knowing that there willl be opportunities to plunder later on.

I think there is a place for both though.

Thats the thing I love watching Dennis but Pipe is really hard to like for whatever reason.

+1

apparently using all those skills is bad for the game tho,

it's that mindset that leads to 6 time world champion Steve Davis having Arsey nicknames like Steve' interesting' Davis and Jimmy White being one if the most loved players in the game.

one pissed away his talent but played fast, the other one won more events than anyone else in the game.

I would rather be the guy that wins than the one that plays fast.

It was INCREDIBLE!

Still trying to absorb it all.

I'm going to try & memorise some of it, then throw it at Lord Channing on tonight's Show, his face will be a picture. He may even pause for breath.

Think I'll ask him if he knows the punting relevance of what a coach would do with a 4th & one at the opponents 36. In a dome. Wink

As we established this morning, the answer is 37 Smiley

Cesarawitch Punt...

Cry For The Moon had pretty ordinary start to career, but last year (2011) improved dramatically from a rating of 66 up to a closing 85 which culminated in an excellent 2nd in the Irish equivelant of this race to very well hcapped Minsk, he started this year running over hurldles (obv well treated) and consequently went up 16lbs over 4 races, he then ran a great race back on the flat at Galway festival to finish 2nd to another well hcap horse Midnight Music (who has since gone up another 6lbs for running well in listed race).. Had a break since then and what was a presumably a pipe opener last time out, I reckon off a mark of 86, is potentially still well treated and could still be improving.

The race is obviously full of horses that have been laid out for it, and could prob make cases for 10 of them but @ 33/1 5 places I think we'll get decent run - Horse has proven stamina, and will be fine on the ground.. There are various opinions on the draw ut recent results in this race dont show any particular bias, although getting a position early is important ...I'm not sure whether its a good idea to take the current price or not (I am doing so) and will prob go in again if it drifts for any reason

For Fred purposes would reccomend 10ew
