Surely Elusive Kate is the one.  8 runners and there must be a big chance of at least one withdrawal on deteriorating ground?

Afternoon Mr Tikay.

Rugby Union Exeter v Clermont Auvergne tomorrow 6pm.

Exeter are still not getting the credit they deserve from the layers. They have already beaten Harlequins and Saracens at home this season and last week only just failed to get a draw at Leinster, missing a late kick to lose 9-6. It has been raining all week in Devon so it will be a heavy pitch and it will be a passionate atmosphere. Home wins are vital in this competition and this game will have been targetted all season by Exeter. Most people are also aware by now how poorly French teams travel, look at the results last week by the 2 French teams playing over here. Yet the layers are making the French favourites so we have an excellent opportunity here to back the truck up. There will be few points so we will have a draw saver too.

Recommend Exeter £25 @ 5-2 Sporting Bet and £5 draw 20-1 several places but not Sporting Bet

Thanks hector.

I'll be backing this in the morning (the game is Sunday I believe), & I'll look at that Northmpton game, too.

I'll work through the football stuff later, or in the morning, too.

Back the truck up? No danger.

Leeds equalise, so a fan comes on the pitch and slaps Chris Kirkland around the face.

He is not really hurt, but more traumatised by the shock of it.

He is treated and then continued.

The idiot fan jumps back into the Stand, and his mates all slap him on the back. Hero.

I honestly despair at times, what are things coming to?

Presumably a monster fine will follow for Wednesday, but how can they stop this nonsense without dreadfully obtrusive fencing? (Fencing at Hillsborough, oh the tragic irony).

The fan will probably get banned from attending football - that will sure work - and 40 hours community service.

All so depressing.

We had that lovely, pure, summer of Olympics, all those volunteers, the feel-good vibe was infectious, we seemed to live in a better place.

When laddo returned to the stands, his mates were slapping him on the back, "hero".

The human mind is a strange thing.

Sorry horseplayer - bit rude of me. I didn't really do much in the end. The QEII is not ante-post obviously (my brain is not working right at the moment). I didn't want to bet ew and get a rule 4 and a seven-runner race.

 Thanks anyway.

You had been there talking as had Chomoy and I ignored you and asked him for his opinion.

Meanwhile I have been doing some stuff on the two rugby union games (Exeter and Saracens). I would not put myself up as any kind of rugby expert but I can see that the points in Clermont/Exeter are 40.5 with B365 and in Saracens/Racing Metro they are 36.5.

I also have a window and I can see it rarely seems to be not raining these days.

Ladbrokes are Saracens -7 and Hills and some others -9. Half-time draw is 12/1 in both games. No try scorer in Exeter is 20/1 and it's 16/1 at the Saracens game.

I have bet on some of those things.

I think the thread should bet H-T draw at 12/1 in the Saracens game with Bluesq, maybe £15 at 12/1.

Does anyone have a view on which bets were best (Hills just went from -9 to -7 Sarries although I stopped betting 90 minutes ago).

Lol, loved the "window" line. Observational is all.

Hector & Tighty seem to be our go-to guys for Rugby Union, Mere is well clued up too, though he is more into Ladies Rugby I would imagine.

Let's see what they come up with.

I did well to miss Northampton, as it turned out. The Frenchies won 21-16.
