Hi Tighty - agree with you about Palace.  I'd have then odds on as well.

I also like Sheff Utd at Preston.  The only worry is they throw in too many draws, but at 2/1 I think we should take the risk.  I watched the Preston v MKD match last week as we had a bet on the home team at a decent price, but I have to say I thought Preston were very disappointing and disjointed.

Can't remember who posted it, tony maybe, the 5/6 on cavendish to sign for some Belgian lot I'd never heard of weighed in yesterday. I read the suggested site and it seemed a done deal when suggested here, was only on skybet so Fred couldn't get involved. Back to blinding off in the Gukpt

That Zona line has a lot of other outstanding issue around it tho Rich. QB Kevin Kolb was injured last week so John Skelton takes over at qb, they fought out a battle for the starting job pre season and Skelton got the nod only to get injured in the first game. So technically the first choice qb when the season started is coming back but Kolb has done a good job so far. Skelton also said his injury was about 80-90% when he came in for Kolb last week.

On top of that both their first choice rb are now on injured reserve, they ran a tandem of Larod Stephens Howling and William Powell last week. Powell looked pretty good and Howling didn't so I guess they will do the same this week but that Minny run D looks pretty solid.

It looks like a really tricky line, Skelton could fit in for Kolb without too much trouble if he is fully fit and Powell looked good last week but the main components of that 4-1 start at qb and rb are now missing.

It deffo looks like a line the public have bet up but Skelton and Kolb looked pretty equal pre season and if Powell is a good as he looked last week then there might not be much to worry about but they are deffo considerations that have led to the bigger handicap and it getting bet up. The one area they could have a nightmare in is protecting a qb coming back from injury that might not yet be fully fit is keeping him upright. They have given up 14 sacks in their last 2 games and the most in the league so far this season in 28 sacks in 6 games.

Yes, all valid

the basis of a potential bet is the strength of the defense, restricting Minny's ability to put up say 21+ points which would mean the Zona offense with all its issues has to score 15+, which I accept is a stretch

Certainly not in my thoughts that the OL and back up RBs will contribute too much to Zona scoring 20+

I omitted to mention that if Northampton were still captained  by Mr Budge Pouteney their chances would be a lot better. Mental strength over there and the preparation are key and he was so good that way. One of the most under rated players of all time. He could eat players like Dylan Hartley for brekkie.

thanks for the GUKPT info, and good luck

Laddies were the only 20-1 on the 4-0, and I doubt it was just my fiver that moved it. Though you never know

Yes i deffo see your angle re Zona and replacing Kolb with Skelton might not make any diff if fully fit and if they give Powell more carries he could run as well as last week too. I think those doubts and the lack if qb protection are why the line has been put in at the number it has. Minny did have a soft start to the season which could easily leave them over rated too.

I think Neil might be right too, it looks like it will go 7 before a solid 6 unless the big players get invloved.

Top notch in the 49ers game yesterday too mate, v ul not to get the treble up when he was initially ruled out at the one on the td drive.

On the subject of NFL. Does anyone try and bet singles midweek in Hills shops on this sport?  I think I've hit a brick wall there. It seems wherever I go it's £55 at 10/11 and the rest 8/11 or £55 at 10/11 and the line is moved 1.5 points (I take the £55 and they then leave the line to torment me sometimes for three days longer - I fuckin hate that - I accept being restricted but don't take the piss and leave the line there).

Does anyone with any knowledge of trading principles have an amount I can have as a stranger in a new shop without a phonecall?

Hills NFL is an absolute joke especially considering they have better access to all of the sharp plays through their Vegas operations.  The other week they had a total that was 2.5 points off what their US operations had so, if someone had access they could actually middle themselves.  I have no idea in this day and age how a firm as big as Hills can get themselves in that situation and it is even more embarrassing they will only lay you 55....I understand they are getting a similarly bad reputation in the States.

I'm very local to Ascot, & it has tipped down, really heavy stuff, all day again.

Cirrus Des Aigles won't have any problem with the ground.

Frankel is defo beatable over a stiff 1m2f on heavy ground.

Nice filthy each-way punt isn't it? 1/5, 9/2, 12/1 Bar, six runners.
