Don’t like much on the Saturday coupon to be honest, but one flagged up for discussion which is based on an unsubstantiated observation from down the years in lower leagues and not stats based.
Tranmere had a storming start to the season, before losing at Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth and they followed that up by losing at home to Doncaster. I remember Watford being unbeaten for 10 games at the start of a season under Taylor when they had just come down from the Premier League before finally losing at home to Sheff Weds. They then followed that up by an insipid performance at Tranmere losing 2-0.
It is almost as if the wind came out the sails for both teams after a long run ends and the team found it hard to get up for the next game a few days later.
Which brings us to Gillingham, who after a great run finally lost at Torquay midweek. They now face a trip to Wimbledon who after being shocking early in the year have had an upturn under new manager Neal Ardley. The Wimbledon defence still worries me, but they should be brimming with confidence after beating Bristol Rovers 3-1 in midweek at home after getting a great draw at 3rd place Fleetwood a few days earlier.
This is “end of unbeaten run” idea is just being flagged up for discussion, and I only have a sample size of two, but I’m thinking the home team might be worth a small investment at a big price of 3/1 with B365. SuperWomble will be able to give us some input as well as to whether he thinks his team really have improved.

I don't know Rene Howe but I expect he's a very nice chap.
Except when he's playing football or appearing on desperate dating shows of course

Wimbledon are certainly playing better as a team, and as individuals, and I am now more confident about our season than I have been since the start.
Our home form has usually been very good.
Gillingscum are a strong team, but have lost their last 2 away games I think.
A Wimbledon win may be stretching my optimism a bit but I would certainly hope for at least a draw, whereas a few weeks ago I would be expecting a thumping.
While the price for us to win seems good, I'm not sure it's worth more than a little banzai, with the expectation that you're likely to lose.

Be rude not to @ 4/1.
Not gonna mess about, we are on.
However........
The Max they would allow me was £6.03, & there is no point being greedy, & we need to spend our money with care, so I just had £6.00.

I'll catch up with the other stuff soonest, worked until Midnight last night, stayed up & watched the NFL, & driven up to Derby & back this morning, so I need to clear my mail & do the day job. And sleep.
PS - Well done horsey on that "first to score" thing. Timing is all, we were ships in the night, but it was a tricky spot for me. Sorry bud, but well done, & I know others got on.

US economy grew by 2% in the last quarter.
Big news for Team Obama, as the Republicans have been attacking his deficit reduction and economic policies throughout the campaign.

The brilliant satirist Stephen Colbert has trumped Donald's calling out of Obama, too.

Not for the easily offended, if any such people follow this thread
