Some serious accounting will need to be done on this thread tomorrow, to see where we are.

Can't believe Mere's cricket bet looks like getting there, what a swongy one that has been!

Just to show my all round versatility, I'm on NYG (outright) and under 49.5 points for this game.
I'm very impressed with the bets listed above, though.

Well done Mr G, everyone is killing the bloody bookies, I love it. Oh, wait.....

The 1-2 Madonna wears a headset instead of carrying a microphone to start the half time show, looks a big price to me

1) Mobility reasons, it's easier to dance with headset
2) Image reasons- it's more hip and keeps her modern with headset
3) Far easier to mime with headset on, which is always possible

Advise 60 quid at 1-2 with Bodog- so open account

Proper tipping, thank you!

Headset on- can go bed now Tikay

Thank you, Mr S, but I confess MereNovice read it correctly.

I just place my bets, go to bed, wake up & count my winnings. Easy game.

That was tremendous fun, thank you to all the experts who nudged, steered & recommended.

I'll try & get the thread accounting done today, & as I hope to be slightly less preoccupied elsewhere than I was last week, hopefully we can keep this thread ticking along.

PS - For the record, I believe I owe Bobby1 £50, he placed a bet on my behalf. Phil, I can send it by Bank TX, or use it to place a (small!) bet for you.

Pass on football betting (unless it's Shrewsbury at home).

Spurs @ 100/30 seems generous to me.  Liverpool are so inconsistent.

I think the price is an over reaction to the news that Defoe, RVDV and Adebayor are all doubts.

I'm waiting to see the starting line ups before I bet, but spurs are fairly reliable and more consistent than Liverpool imo.  They have lost only 2 of there last 10 away matches one of those defeats coming to Man City in a thriller.

4.4 available on betfair.  I'm going in.

No bet for me tonight.

Spurs with a gun to my head at the prices but no VDV/Kaboul and Liverpool's bench looks so much stronger. Livermore does not inspire me as a player unless you're fond of 5 yard passes and thats it.

Sick of value losers so nothing doing.

Phil,

How did your golf betting end up yesterday?

The match bets pre tourney went 1 from 3 so that was poor, tho the two I went against didn't manage to make the top 40, it was a pity the two I took against them played worse as I would have expected to win pre event if you had said to me the two I was against finished tied for 45th.

I got away with laying Levin in the US as he fell apart in the 4th round, I played some back pre 4th round tho but in the end it was good, as was the Euro on Sunday morning. All done it was an OK week, the pre tourney bets were poor and I got a bit lucky in the end in the US to make it a winning week

When would this settle? Might have a tickle if it's not too long.

Rugby League.
Sunday 12th February
Huddersfield v Widnes.
Highest scoring half: 2nd half.
Available at 8/11 at SkyBet and PaddyPower.

Rugby League is an attritional game and more points are generally scored in the second half (e.g. 5 of 7 games in round one last weekend).
Also, the game (unlike Rugby Union) does not lend itself to teams killing the game when they are ahead.
Widnes started well last Friday (leading 10-4 at half-time) before fading really badly and losing 14-34 to Wakefield.
Meanwhile Huddersfield won 16-20 at Wigan with a half-time score of 6-8.
