I perhaps should put it on Fraser's topic, but this represent value, even though it's a very short price.

Cardiff are best priced at 8/13 to beat Sheffield Wednesday at Cardiff.

Before looking at the odds, I would have priced this up very similar, but perhaps even shorter to be quite honest at 4/7 or 1/2 considering this is a game that is 1st v 23rd.

I think the 8/13 is a very good price considering the stats:

- Cardiff have won every single one of their homes games.

- Sheffield Wednesday have won once away from home (against a very poor Ipswich), drawn 2 and lost the other 6.

More notes:

Wednesday are without a few players Chris O'grady (top goalscroer), Lewis Buxton (right back), Barkley who got sent back into Everton and freefall it is looking like. There are one or two more squad players out too, rumours of Dave Jones losing dressing room and Chris Kirkland being questionable throighout this season.

8/13 looks a good price to me, although odds on.

I have no hope for my own team here and will be lumping on Cardiff, sigh.

Some obvious questions about value.

Following tonights result do Swansea look backable at Arsenal at the weekend, also Stoke at WB?

I think the value is likely to be if WBA drift in any significant way as a result of last nights results. I thought WBA were a bit of a value last night and probably just about already are again vs Stoke, if they drift significantly then they´ll be a decent bet imo.

Swansea/Arsenal prices seem about right.

Cant be classed as after timing surely......but nice little 40s double just for following the form, even against my own team!!(Time for Wenger to go methinks). A nice win eases the pain

Yep, great shout. Were you on?

Overjoyed with the Swansea result, grew up watching us play Hereford and Merthyr Tydfil in front of 1100 people, nobody told me there´d be days like this :-)

Get on West Ham vs Pool quick @ 5/2 with Boylesports. Suarez picked up a yellow today so will be suspended for the game and obviously West Ham won nicely today.
I went to Oddschecker to check prices and saw that Bet365 still had 5/2 on West Ham but when I went into my account, it had already been cut to 15/8. That Boyles price won't last either.
Recommend £50.
Quick, quick, quick!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: 5/2 still available with Ladbrokes as well.

Didnt go mad, as I find it hard to back against my team, but they are pretty dire atm and was impressed by Swans result v WBA. Made sense to do Stoke when I saw their record v WBA recently.

£15 double and saved on draw/Stoke

'''''Thanks Phil.

At around 5pm today, we are either gonna look complete idiots, or very very shrewd......

ALL those bets are on, £5 each, but I don't have time to C & P all the Bet Slips. Mere is gonna love me, about an hours work on the Spready today!''''

;o( Idiot it is then.......I mean who backs 10-0 in a footy match and not 5-0. I'm glad I was in bed, that would have been a painful last 20 minutes to sweat.

We were so close Phil, 5-0 with over 20 minutes still to play, at that stage, it must have been odds on to end 6 or 7-0 minimum.

What a coup that would have been!

I think Mr McShane has missed his chance and the moment has passed. Carlsen held him off and now has a level endgame. McShane got a bit short of time in the critical position and chose to swap some pieces off (perhaps to make the position easier to calculate), but this also relieved some of the pressure.

Tough to back McShane to win from here, but he was certainly better value than 7/1 and were there ever an In Play market, we would have been in great shape about an hour ago.

We now want Carlsen to work his magic and win the game, if McShane doesn't somehow turn this round.

The 5/2 is gone with Boyles, cut to 2/1. Ladbrokes the only remaining 5/2. This is value pie deluxe.

There just has to be an angle in the Premier League.

The "big 4" are so terrible this season, something has to be value even if WBA to make the Champions League isn't it.
