Is there any way we can set an alert for particular posters? I am missing out on bundles by not seeing Mr Tom Langley's posts, text or PM would also work. Thanks.
Morning Milli.
Not that I am aware of. You just have to monitor the thread, really.
He usually sticks his NBA stuff up late at night.

Is the thread still justifying bets on value or just trying to pick winners?

If we only back selections which are correctly priced, we will, by definition, & over time, lose money, as the market has a built-in profit margin.
So the primary criteria has to be value.

i read somewere about five years ago that tv audiences in india go down by 65% when tendulkar gets out
probably explains why they appear to have his replay on a loop here

thanks tony
It raises an interesting point, which if someone could put the time ino im sure loads of us noobs woudl appreciate.
Keith made a point yesterday about "pricing up the market yourself" to identify value.
in my head, I think I can identify value - but its def only gut feel and no science.
Is there an idiots guide to pricing a market? Maybe if someone could give us an idea with a few examples
eg - a football game (2 horse race)
- an 8 runner horse race
-others?
I often hear a market in priced to say 110% - what does that mean and how do you work it out?
If anyone has time, id really appreciate thoughts on the above, this thread is really starting to give me a genuine interest in this stuff!

Anderson 3-22. He now needs 13 wickets to become the first England bowler since Botham, and fourth overall, to take 300 in Tests.
In the series
Anderson 11
Swann 16
Panesar 18
With 16 wickets to take, hopefully, we might just have to remember about AndrewT's pre series £25 at 4-1 Anderson top English bowler

England 4/6
Fred is obviously in a good place in this match, but surely Betfair is closer to the correct price?
In particular, the Anderson bet looks very good right now (edit: obviously not referring to the series one!).
With a big dollop of hindsight, that was the some price on England in the 2nd test.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
