2/1 RVP anytime Goalscorer, won't last long and best priced 10/11 elsewhere

why are Manchester United Evens? I expected to see them 4/6 at home against a mid table side?

Why is the Liverpool price coming in?

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/man-utd-v-liverpool/winner

I think MU are an amazing price.  It simply cannot be correct.

Cheesy what the hell is that last pic?

It is from his college days. The helmet he has on is university of Nevada, his nickname was the angry ostrich there and they used to run all their plays from the pistol formation.

Pistol being some form of variant of the shotgun?

I watch alot of sport.

I watch more sport than anyone know.

It's almost sad how much sport I watch.

But just once in while I see something which makes it all worthwhile.

I see a talented young player who just is a joy to watch, who I just know it is going to be a superstar at his chosen sport. Someone who makes you stop whatever your doing and marvel at his natural talent, joie de vivre and brilliance.

Without thinking too hard I remember Federer beating Sampras at Wimbledon, Judd Trump's first world Snooker campaign and Rory winning the Dubai Desert Classic.

Not only have you got watch these people, you have to move fast and get financially involved by backing them before everyone realises just how good thy are!

Well, a new star is about to appear in the firmament imo.

San Francisco 49ers are an excellent NFL team.

They have an awesome defence led by the fearsome Smith brothers Aldon and Justin. And the Duracell bunny at LB, Patrick Willis.

Troy Aikman called their Offensive line the best he had seen since the legendary one he played behind in the nineties.

They have a dependable running back in Frank Gore.

Weapon's aplenty at WR and TE.. Randy Moss, Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis.

And at QB they have Alex Smith who is top in the league completion %, fourth in QB rating with an incredibly impressive TD to INT ratio of 14:5

Only thing is, he got a concussion a couple of weeks ago and had to be taken out of the lineup by a guy who had only seen spot duty so far.

This guy: Colin Kaepernick

I have watched NFL avidly for nearly 30 years.

And I can honestly say I have never have been so excited by a young player as Kaepernick.

His arm strength is amazing, his throws are like they on a frozen rope.

He has the mobility of Michael Vick and Cam Newton.

His temperament after performing the way h did after a very traumatic week in a very hostile atmosphere on Sunday sealed the deal.

This guy is destined to be an absolute superstar.

Jim Harbaugh is a great coach, for him to bench Alex Smith in favour of this guy tells you all you need to know.

I think San Francisco are the best team in the NFC with Smith at QB. And 5/1 for the Superbowl is about the right price.

With Kaepernick at QB, it's an absolute steal. Best bet I've seen in years.

Recommend £150 on San Fransisco to win the Superbowl at 5/1.

Has anyone ever seen Keith and Mystic Meg in the same room?

Yes, with a twist.

Losers

Splash (-£10). Eddie the Eagle Edwards is now a big favourite to win this. How did Doobs, who has never watched the show, know that?

He must have had some athletic ability and be pretty comfortable in the water as he won every round of winter wipeout.

He would clearly be comfortable with heights given his background falling down great big hills.

And I guessed there was some insider money down causing his price to contract.

Just wish I'd thought it through when he was bigger.

As it was, I did actually catch our hero's dive.  He only flung himself off the highest board and did a 1.5 somersault.  Meanwhile Mr Essex fell off the lower board much to the delight of his 2 million followers on twitter. His teeth could have lit up a ballroom mind.  The 2 million followers were left disappointed by the judges favouring a faller who not only looked better in a swimsuit, but had a broken toe to boot.

Bet Victor are offering 2/1 this crap continues for another season.  I assume that is nailed on so long as 5 million people exist in this country who don't want to punch Vernon Kay square on the end of his nose.  Kapow.  Worth £20?

If we are still short of reality stars for our stable.  If I was going to rely on offensive stereotyping and pick a likely male winner of dancing on ice, I suspect a good place to start would be a gay rugby player.  He hasn't 'danced' yet, and the 16s I got is long gone.  I assume there must be somebody on tonight's show who isn't really dreadful, and Gareth seems most likely. Bet Victor are still offering 8/1.

Finally, Jo Brand, just wow.

The absolutely ridiculous thing is, I think there's loads more potential for better.

The players at WR and TE just aren't quick enough to catch up to his deep throws or sure handed enough to catch his fast balls over the middle.

Imagine he was QB for Atlanta with Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez catching his passes.

Crabtree has stepped up alot in recent weeks (but is no where near the top 10 in the league), but Moss is a shadow of his former self. He would have had 3 tds 5 years ago with the same balls throw his way. Walker drops nearly as many as he catches.

We're relying on Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, an awesome O line, a fearsome defense and potentially the best coach in the league, Jim Harbaugh.

I'm happy.

Meanwhile, back to more mundane matters.

Just a reminder that we have £40 @ 4/5 on Seattle (+3) in the early game tonight.

PS - Well done Tighty, redarmi & Doobs for pointing out the value in Man Utd @ near Evens. Gawd knows why I never pursued it.
