Once again The Camel is spot on.

Twenty years ago when everyone held an interest in Marino/Peyton/Montana/Ditka/Fridge etc, I was a Dolphins fan.

Over the years as I lost interest, I had no idea how they were doing. I think they got pretty crap.

As Camel suggests, I must not fall in love with 9ers this week if all goes to plan, then I like the thought of being totally objective moving forward.

Good Post again K

Why all the dislike for the Seahawks?

Are they the NFL equivelant of Leeds Utd, or Millwall, & if so, why?

The big game tonight on sky is the west country league two derby being exeter and torquay

I have spent far to much time on a market were the over round is at least 180% but might have found something of interest.

The man of the match markets rarely offer value mainly due to the overround already mentioned but there is a player tonight who might get more coverage than most.

I often find in the championship/ lower league games the analyser gives the motm award to one of the higher profile players on show and not necessarily the best performance.

Looking at the team sheets tonight (or the possible ones anyway) and one name stands out to me as being more "famous" or at least known to even the fairly casual football fan than anyone else. He also happens to be if playing tonight which all reports suggest he will be making his 700th career appearance this evening.

The man is mercuiral striker Jamie Cureton a man with more clubs than jack nicklaus but who has always scored goals (apart from leyton orient last season) and is despite being top scorer with 15 goals 37 years of age. He has been banned for 3 games before tonight but that again going by reports may be a benefit as he was by his own admission "in need of a rest" and slightly off his game. He will almost certainly be taking penalties (gow took and scored last game but good luck trying to get the ball of him here tonight and he has taken them earlier in season when both played).

Looking at the maths of the game he can only realistically win motm by scoring a goal and exeter winning or drawing the game . The double of him scoring and exeter not losing pays just short of 2-1. The over 2.5 market movement suggest there will be goals in this (overs been well backed today) if the game is a bore scoreless draw he is not going to win the award but this looks quite unlikely.

Despite a bit of digging i cant find out who the co-commentator is this evening but going by the not unlikely basis that he may not be an expert on the two sides the chances of picking cureton are slightly enhanced i hope by sky mentioning the 700th game factor at least twice in the fifteen minute build up.

Basically a lot of waffle but i do feel there is some merit in backing Cureton at 7-1 with vcbet in the motm market tonight.

As always there are 21 dangers Smiley Mark Molesley is a good signing for exeter on a free from bournemouth, he is an all action midfielder who can score the odd goal being his debut he may get more attention than most as well at 10-1 they certainly have not taken any chance whatsoever though.

Suggest £10 Jamie Cureton motm with vcbet at 7-1

oh dear

No worries, VC Bet changed the price to to 16/1, so I guessed there was a problem, & I did not place the bet.

Shame really, an original & fun bet, & we would have got a 90 minute sweat for a tenner.

Good digging horsey, unlucky, but thank you.

Re: Superbowl,

Game is forecast to be close, Akers missed FG in playoff and is in poor form/low confidence (?)

Is it not deemed essential in a game with such huge resources to play with, that you have a reliable second string Kicker to fall back on?

Will be cheering 49ers on Sunday, but have hedged to win a little should the unthinkable happen !  Thanks to the Camel for his great OP suggesting the bet.

In a word, no. It would be wasting a roster spot to have 2 kickers.

If they can find a better kicker in the next week, they'll sign him and dump Akers. American Football coaches are unsentimental like that.

But decent kickers are hard to find. They tried out Billy Cundliff in the week prior to the Atlanta game, but Akers outperformed him in practice, so they stuck with him.

It's difficult to believe I know, but Akers has been one of the best kickers in the league during the last decade, and Harbaugh is showing him some loyalty.

But believe me, if the Niners are trailing by 1 and have a 40 yarder to win it with 3 seconds left, it's safe to say I'll be shitting my pants.
