France finally pick right rugby team shocker!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/21531218

7 changes from the two losses so far including Parra at SH, Trinh Duc at FH, Fofana into the Cente, Clerc a proper finisher on the wing,  a proper scrummaging loose head and a form back row

Interestingly, England play Lawes and Wood out of position in the pack giving France a chance of some superiority at the breakdown.

It was unfathomable to a lot of rugby fans to see, in particular, Parra left out. A superb goal kicking, tactical kicking scrum half. Michalak who was both dreadful and out of form has been replaced outside him too

Which brings me onto the idea

This is going to be a bruising game, and everyone expects England to win, and get to Cardiff with a chance of winning the Grand Slam

Not so fast. This one is going to be very tight. The two line ups are so similar in composition that they will cancel themselves out.

You can get France+8 at Evens http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/six-nations/england-v-france/handicaps

However I prefer France outright at 3-1 http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/six-nations/england-v-france/winner

The French coach is talking going for it. After all, they have nothing to lose.

""Let's be French: courageous, audacious, unpredictable," he added.

"It's always good when we're scared. We'll have to stick together and get ready for a great fight.

"We need to play our best game, try to be very well organised, be disciplined. It's not just by kicking and chasing that you can beat England.

"We need to play without the handbrake and be bold. For French rugby, it's better to be outsiders than favourites." "

At 3-1 they are decent value for a small bet (£20) to upset the Anglo-Saxon applecart

Thanks Tighty.

I will go the Nit Route (+8 @ Evens off-thread) but we have got on as directed here. hector will be SO cross that you are backing the handbag-weilding CESM's.

We have £20 @ 3/1, BetVictor, France to whop England, Six Nations.

ON

England v France
France
(To Win)
Odds:  3/1
Stake:  20.00
Possible Return:  80.00

Question for the rugby betting experts. Do you think evens -8 is better than 10/11 -7. I don't, but am happy to be told I'm wrong.

SORRY SORRY. I MEANT -8 AND -7 FOR ENGLAND. Have corrected it above.

Liverpool v Zenit St Petersburg tonight.

I don't normally bet on "my team", but it could be another one of those nights when Liverpool "turn up".

The crowd who are normally fairly quiet for league games really crank the volume up when Liverpool face deficits in European games and tend to inspire the team .

After a  2-0 reverse in the first leg against a pretty ordainary Zenit , i fancy Liverpool to turn this tie around.

They are a best price 3/1 to qualify , but i fancy a 3-0 scoreline .

Recommend £10    3-0     13/1  BetVictor

boooooooo!

We rarely seem to get the right side of Liverpool, but I fancy them strongly to win tonight at a tasty 4/6.

3-0? That'd be nice.

Deffo worth a fun Tenner, & great to see you here.

We have £10 @ 13/1, BetVictor, Liverpool to beat St Zenit 3-0.

ON

Liverpool v Zenit St Petersburg
Liverpool 3 - 0

Odds:  13/1
Stake:  10.00

7 is obviously a key number, being a converted try. 3,5,10 other keys

I much prefer France +8 if you want to beat that way

or England -7 if the other

tips it slightly in your favour compared to France +7/England-8

Thanks. Was my thinking. Never quite sure how to work out the value in evens v 10/11 in relation to the points though. Weirdly I quite like England -7 AND France to win at 3/1. I won't be betting both though. Am not that much of a mug.

I've backed Hamilton tonight fwiw.

Also Hamilton is best priced 7/4 (6/4 general) to be relegated.  Bwin though have made a bit of a rick and have him as an 11/13 shot and the good thing is they let us bet the other side of it so we can get 11/13 on Hamilton not to be relegated.

Lyon-Spurs.

Both teams to score 3/4 with Betfair.

If that isn't a bet, the world has gone mad.

What happens if Bale has an off night?

The biggest danger is Lyon playing tight and looking for that one chance but not getting it.

Bale could have an off-day but the team out tonight is our most attacking available, AVB has said he's looking to go for it and we're rather leaky at the back when we do that.

I typed quickly, but I'm happy with the bet, as I was genuinely surprised to see that number.

Darts

Andy Hamilton to beat Gary Anderson 2.78 on bf

Hamilton has been hitting doubles for fun, conversely anderson would struggle placing them in.

Although Anderson will outscore Hamilton, it won't be by much, and not hitting doubles will make it tough to break Hamilton who is scoring ok! Over a short format Hamilton looks like a good bet

I think Anderson also had a mini spike last week due to the home crowd affect

Max bet Hamilton

Thanks Guy.

Bazzaboy has added his support, so we have had a small bet on Hamilton.

£20 @ 17/10, Blue Square, Hamilton to beat Anderson tonight.

Sorry Tal, I went for a nap, & missed this, it was a 6pm start.

100% we would have taken the bet, especially as it was non-arty.

Had you Posted earlier, we'd have been on for sure.

Game has started now, Lyon 1-0 up, & it is almost still a bet at 4/9, but we've missed half the sweat, so no point really.
