Morning Mr T.

Seconds away from a weekend hatrick, and Marky is unable to purchase a Sam Trickett salad for his dinner.

People may have the wrong idea that I am a tennis expert after getting 2 winners over the weekend. I am in no way an expert, but at this time of the year I do like to bet on it as I think the bookies price up some matches badly as they underestimate the clay court factor.

Later this morning Stosur, a player I have been betting against, plays Hsieh. On clay courts patience and movement are really important and I don't think Stosur has either of them. She has lost 3 games on clay this year and only had 1 win. In fact when I watch her on TV I am reminded of this guy.

Everyone over 40 will recognise him.

They have played each other only once with Stosur winning on a hard court, but at the price available I think Hsieh is worthy of support.

Suggest £10 Hsieh to beat Stosur @ 9-2 Betfred, Hills etc

You may like to try bet365 as they are 5-1.

Did the Roy Race story get him banned for six months?

another racing one for tommorow

6-1 with hills or 365 suggest £35

CAPELLANUS 3.40 musselburgh

positives :

3 out of 4 wins right-handed, class drop, back to its distance, back on ground that it won't hate like last time
plenty of pace to run at, well drawn

the last run was a race nicked off the front by cathy gannon and in the circumstances the horse ran well.

The main positives are that i cant find a single thing i really like about the opposition.

The current favourite Mohawk Ridge made all at 25-1 last time but is better left handed has run two shocking races for this claiming jockey and has never won of a mark this high. I expect m ridge to drift quite a bit before the start.

most of these rivals are awful

Hawdyerwheesht looks a very likely bounce candidate
geanie mac trained by linda perratt is 2% off 150 + day breaks
alsahil tailed off for hammond last time
madrasa needs it really quick ground (nope)
torero dog off a lay-off
madame blavatsky useless
miss ella jade won't stay and whitaker off a lay-off 8/205
vittachi whillans 3% off a lay-off
Call of Duty sayer off a lay-off, 2/82

Everything off a break is trained by a trainer who can't/doesn't get them fit first time.

I like this, like it a lot.

Horsey, before you accuse me of being negative, i have backed your selection.

However I am interested in your interpretation of the bounce factor.

Hawdyerwheest(plenty of money for a Goldie horse always to be feared) ran in October 2012 and then ran 30th March, a standard end of season rest. He has now had a month off and brought back.

I would have thought traditional bounce factor thinking is a season off, and then a run and the bounce comes in the run made shortly after that run? dont you think this is pretty standard stuff for end of season/start of season placing?

Ty GW

Any reason to get involved in semi's? Do they operate in a different way that throws up an angle?

Should we get on the selections to win their semi?

no problem

bounce was the wrong word i was pretty tired tbh

goldie has some pretty awful stats second time back within the time periods that occur here

mohawk already drifting badly enough expect the goldie and our selection to be pretty tight 7-2 joint favs come the off

it is just my opinion for instance the racing post reporter seems to think the drop in trip is a negative as well

in its two good efforts at wolver for ellison it has looked to have the pace for this trip to me

Thanks horsey.

Best price now is 5/1, you recommended @ 6/1, so not sure this is still a good bet, but you like it a lot, so I've taken a flyer & backed it @ 5/1, but to a reduced stake. Hope that's OK, & not the worst of both worlds.
