Daily ReportProfit on the Month £77.15Outstanding Bets £1,036.25
An amazing day yesterday, but when the dust finally settled, we had a nice litte profit of £77.15. We worked pretty hard for it though, with bets galore.
The focus of attention was the Derby, where we had a bewildering array of bets, some just sheer perceived value, some to protect our O'Brien bet, & some "Offer" related.
Dawn Affair's race was run within the first few furlongs, so that upset the jolly old applecart a bit.
When all was said & done, we covered ourselves on the Derby, & that included the now dead O'Brien bet, so that was a very satisfactory outcome. Big thanks to the portfolio planning & trimming done mainly by
Chompy & Doobs. It all looked very scary to me, but despite a non-ideal winner, we still got out of it.
Elsewhere, we were pretty busy too.
hector's 3-ball golf bet performed the escape of the century for a small profit. No idea how.
Jamier-Host got the Lions Tour off to a winning start (+£60) when the Lions easily covered the first half handicap, in what one esteemed if grumpy observer described as a
shambolic game.
A rare darts reversal for Snowy, when our selection got absolutely crushed.
We placed an ante-post wager on the St Leger, put up by Doobs, but which Chompy said he nearly put up.

Talking of Chompy, he gave us £50 on a 9/2 shot last night which got home fair & square, but unfortunately Fred got Restricted to £17.77. Bugger, that was nearly £200 of profit lost.
In the ladies Golf, Ms Shin got blown away, but the Tournament continues, so that loss will be taken tomorrow.
We still have a nice portfolio for the Greyhound Derby, down to Scott. Round 2 is next weekend.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes......
There have been some minor inaccuracies on the profits of Betfair action, where Commission had not been included in one or two results.
A Stewards Inquiry was convened last night, attended by Auditors & Actuaries - it was a very interesting meet, as you can imagine - & it has now been corrected in today's numbers.
Things go fairly quiet here now for a week or two, with a lull before the Lions Tour gets properly underway, Royal Ascot, The Open Golf, Greyhound Derby, Wimbledon, Henley Regatta, & all that summer stuff.
