Sick I missed all of this!

I was instead urinating money onto a poker table. Skills.

Programme out here called Around the Horn. Think there's a similar show on 5Live called Fighting Talk. One of the topics was:

Benches clear as Bumgarner throws at Guzman.

The child in me giggled. The adult in me also giggled.

Johnathan Banks v Seth Mitchell

A few months back Mitchell was yet another overhyped American heavyweight, then he fought Banks and got stopped in two.  Mitchell only started boxing at the age of 23 after his College Football career was ended by a knee injury. As a result he lacks any real technical ability, he also doesn't have a good chin as was evidenced in the first fight. He does however have good power so will have a punchers chance.

Banks isn't great and is probably more famous for training Wlad Klitschko rather than boxing. He is however technically better than Mitchell and has been 12 rounds on multiple occasions whereas Mitchell hasn't been beyond 8 rounds. I expect Mitchell to be more circumspect this time around (if he isn't he gets stopped early) but Banks should be able to outbox him and get a mid to late stoppage. I make Banks a solid favourite here. Recommend £50 at Evens with SB and Bwin.

Just going to put up one tonight.

We need to find a horse in the Coronation (3.45) for the BetVictor, as Sky Lantern is short and has Hughes on board.

I think Just The Judge looks like a good horse, but really want to side with Big Break.  I think they had excuses in the Irish 1000, she was one of the horses I was planning on backing this year and has a way better draw than the front 2 (1 vs 16 and 17).   She didn't like the firmish going much in Ireland, but the clerk of the course has been watering, so am going to take a chance.

Suggest £25 Big Break at 6/1 with BetVictor.

Think it would also be good to get one in the 3.05, just couldn't decide which one.  It looks a good each way race so long as we don't lose one, it has a shortish Hughes runner, and I think Derby runners don't have a great  record in the race.  I don't think there is much of a rush as BetVictor aren't best priced on anything.

Will have a think, but if anybody has a preference that isn't the Hughes horse or the favourite that would be good.

Congratulations to everyone who did well on the Spain v Tahiti match.
My nit tendencies cost Fred money but I'm sure that lots of his followers made better choices than me.

I read on Hughes blog for betvictor that he wouldn't be suprised if both sky lantern and just the judge were withdrawn due to being I'm stall 16 and 17? If so there will be a hefty rule 4 here.

Tried to find it via my phone and failed.  I found it via a link on the bevictor website last night. Can anyone explain to me why sky lantern and just the judge being drawn into stalls 16 and 17 is such a bad thing?

They are drawn wide and the race is run round a bend.   I can't see them getting withdrawn in such a big race.  It's not going to be a massive disadvantage as this isn't Chester.

I am sure our draw correspondent will be along soon.

Hughes being a bit sad here. Wouldn't be saying a thing if he had a nice cosy draw and Judge left out wide.

Prove what a great tactician you are then men! Simples

Daily Report

Loss on Month £74.92

Outstanding Bets £1045

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&pli=1#gid=25

A loss of £140 yesterday split between Royal Acot and Spain v Tahiti means the monthly profit was fleeting, with an overall thread ROI of 3% proving a bit of a barrier, once again.

Spain v Tahiti really should have been a sizeable thread profit. The Torres hat-trick and four of the five anytime goalscorers were given, but such is life. Plenty looked to have scooped on them, so all is good.

Two more days of Royal Ascot to go, and the bookie offers keep rolling in

This weekend sees the India v England Champions Trophy final, the first Lions Test also

This morning also sees the Wimbledon draw, with Nadal at 5 the one to be avoided in the Quarter final stages for the top 4 seeds
