Celtic v Inverness

Celtic are not firing yet. Samaras and Stokes did not train today. They were away in Asia on Tuesday and got turned over in a very big game. They did have plenty possesion so not a greatly harsh 90 minute chase the ball game. The defence continues to look awful

Last season they struggled on some an occasion after a big euro game.

Inverness have played 3 won 3 scoring 6 and not conceding.

Celtic can be layed around 1.59 but unless my maths is off it's better to back Inverness @ 6/1 (13/2 skybet) and back the draw at 7/2 (15/4 skybet) which i think is better and beats betfair although exchanges haven't much turnover on this yet.

For every £10 total stake £6.09 on draw and £3.91 on Inverness returns £17.39 profit if Celtic fail to win.
Sandy

Can someone do me a favour, please?

I can't bet with Sky Bet, so can you reassess the stakes on the best prices elsewhere, please?

Alternatively, a straight Lay on Betfair, if that works better.

Think we'd invest (up to) £50 in total.

Thanks.

Based on your £50

Draw £30.43 Lads, Boyle or BV all 7/2

Inverness £19.57 Sportingbet, Paddy, Hills all 6/1

Profit £86.96 if Celtic do not win.

If, and it's a big if, Paddy will let you place £50 @ 9/5 as mentioned by someone else on Inverness double chance instead as it's slightly better. 8/5 Stan James is worse than the original recommend and 13/8 6/4 that most others are is way worse than what i said.

Thanks guys.

Will get everything on tonight, shortly, as I am not sure what times I will be available tomorrow.

If there are Ebor offers in the morning, let me know earliest please.

Think we ought to go easy on the football tomorrow, unless something jumps off the page.

Thanks Sandy, that is exactly what I needed.

I tried the PP route, surprisingly they were prepared to alllow £29.58, but that meant I'd need to top up elsewhere, & mess with the maths again, so I left it.

I got the bets on as suggested, though I misclicked the Inverness @ 6/1 with Wm Hill & bet £1 shy, so I had to have another bet for £1. Don't even ask.

We have.....

14.05 York Cristoforo Columbo 9/4 £25 with Hills mobile
15.30 Goodwood Afsare 9/4 £25 with Betfred

You can bet both with both bookies as you get best odds guaranteed if you fancy it.  Ladbrokes prices didn't look great and I assume they are doing the offer too.

Night all.

Thanks Doobs.

Decided to do "both with both" so that I shall either dig us a hole, or get us out of one.....

The prices are not quite as suggested, but we have BOG with Wm Hill, though not sure if that is the case with BetFred.

These bets are ALL for £25, & ALL "Free £25 Bet if we finish 2nd".

I think Spudy is right, Ted Veale looks a good thing in the Ebor.  Hills are the only one offering 9/1 now.  Has won a handicap at Cheltenham, ran in a decent novice hurdle at Punchestown, looks very much like it has been aimed at this.  Has lots of form on soft.  Just beats Betfair FWIW.

Free bet £25 with Hills on this in the 3.50 at York tomorrow.

Sadly, Wm Hill are now 8/1, with Betfair @ 9.8, but because of the Free Bet I've stuck with Wm Hill.

Tighy Ruling required as to who owns this bet. Spudy suggested it on numerous occasions, but this is a Free Bet via Offer.

We have a £25 FREE BET with Wm Hil, Ted Veale, Tote Ebor, 3.50 York.

There has been some chatter as to betting Arsenal to beat Fulham, but the price has now corrected itself, so we'll leave it.

ok fred i have spotted the game i would like too place my first fred bet on

i like the look of middlesbough away too wigan in the championship on sunday
the 5.0 being offered by stan james and boylesport on middlesbough is huge when other firms are only offering 4.2
and the betfair price is 4.5

wigan are being priced as a team just coming down from the premiership but it took them 45 minutes before they even got going at the weekend
wigan havent really shown anything since the first game of season

i think middlebough will win this game 1 time in 4 and therefore recommend a cheeky £5 on middlesbough as a value bet

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FLAME

There will be no flaming here Mr Iron.

You've been paying close attention I see. 4/1 is stand-out best, so we have some value, & a £5 dabble looks just the tiocket.

Thank you, & good luck, & I hope you get off to a flyer.

We have £5 @ 4/1, Boylesports, 'Boro to beat Wigan, BoyleSports, Sunday.

It sounds like we wouldn't mind opposing Liverpool tomorrow. A Villa win is 3-1 but is likely to come via one of the following options, both of which give us a nice price boost.

Benteke/Villa score/win combo @7.5 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/aston-villa-v-liverpool/score-win-double
Villa to win not to nil @7.0http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/aston-villa-v-liverpool/to-win-not-to-nil

Reasoning: Villa have conceded in 20+ straight EPL games and Benteke is on fire. I'll leave any selections and stakes up to the thread on this one.

Thanks.

I'm not mad keen on too much football yet awhile, but that does arouse interest, & it has been mentioned by several.

Thoughts, anyone?

Personally, if we do it, a straight Villa win would be my preference.

Afternoon Mr T.

In the RL challenge cup tomorrow there is likely to be a lot of rain which will even things up. Wigan have been very unimpressive for some time and I think we should back Hull @ 13/5. If Sean O'Loughlan is announced as missing then the price will fall anyway, but he hasn't played for 3 weeks so there is no telling the influence he will be able to have even if he does play.

Suggest £20 Hull @ 13/5 with Paddy Power

Ahh, Mr Lazy Plumber, thank you.

PP restricted me, but I got slightly better (before 5% commish) with, Betfair, who have some 3.7.

£20 @ 3.7, Betfair, Hull to beat Wigan, Challenge Cup.

Details later, busy tonight.

My local Gaelic club  (all saints) play in a junior championship quarter final tomorrow evening against rasharkin.

They have played twice already this season, once in the league and the other was a cup game game with rasharkin winning both games. Rasharkin are also winning the league with All Saints back in third.

I checked the betting on paddy power earlier and couldn't believe they have All Saints odds on at 8/11 and Rasharkin at 11/8! I recommend a max bet on Rasharkin at 11/8..... I'm not 100% they will win but they really should be 5/6 at best IMO and have already beat All Saints twice so 11/8 is huge.

Welcome to Fred, Micko.

Good news & bad news.

This is your first bet here, so we are on, "blind" so to speak.

Bad news is that only Paddy Power quote this Market, the price has tightened to 11/10 from 11/8, & they Restricted me to £7.94. That apart, no problems......

Can you please let us know the result please, might be awkward for Tighty or us to find it. I'd also be interested - don't ask why - in the result of "Kerry Women v Mayo Women" & "Cork Women v Dublin Women". Not quite sure why that so intrigues me. Is it "Women", not "Ladies" in the ROI? We have Ladies here, tattoos, profanities, pint glasses & all.

Thanks, & Good Luck.

FWIW I dont care who owns the bet, I am sure I have met Doobs in the past at some Betfair poker event, he can take the acclaim should Ted Veale win, with a free bet. dont bother me, just as long as he wins!!! Just hope that the ground aint bottomless like it was when at Galway!

BigAdz, i've just seen your reply to my comment earlier.

Personally I don't look at fred every hour, so mucho apologies for the tardy response.

I was just saying that I personally felt Bobby's horse was a really good tip and that I would have had backed it for more myself.

Don't feel I need to explain myself over this at all, it was just my personal opinion.

My comments on your whinging/arguing over nothing I stand by, I felt you were moaning about very little and dragging someone into it unfairly.

Having said all this lets not fall out over nothing.

Peace to all. Smiley
