I'll tell you what really would be an interesting geeky stat (esp after a longer sample size).

Which bookmakers do you win most from and which do you lose most to.

Based upon the current small sample size, that is easy to work out - on the spreadsheet every bet is ascribed to whatever bookmaker was used on the spready. Might take me a while to work out, though Mere can probably press a button to get the answer.

You were less than religious about recording which bookmaker you used in the early days of the thread.
Despite this, I present the following for the geeks:

Great stuff.

After a year, I bet we are winning from S*ybet, Paddy and Chandlers.

Break even with Bet365 and Laddies.

Losing on Pinny and Betfair.

Thanks.
If everyone who reads the thread lumps on every time he makes a bet on SkyBet then I guess that he's earned a nice bonus there.

3 x Carter cocks up a decent century chance. Jones was a bit unlucky in the 90's.

You wouldn't believe how much I had to pay Carter to get him to do that. Cheesy

I see Everton are being backed to win at Stoke this evening and have moved from being slight dogs to decent favs. Which isn't that surprising given that Everton have lost just 2 of 15, unbeaten in their last 6 and have scored 4 goals in each of their last three.
But Stoke are decent at home and have only lost 1 of their 6 home matches with the current top 6 sides (1-3 vs Newcastle).
The value on Everton is probably gone but what about a small bet on Nicky Jelavic @ 5/1 (generally) to be first goalscorer? He has scored 9 in his last 7.
Maybe just £10 for the sweat.

Question RE: Sporting Bet. Are they still charging for deposits?
If so are you accounting for this? Not sure if you deposit for each bet or have money in a few accounts now but if you are being charged for a deposit it should be noted as essentially you aren't getting the advertised odds.

I think if we all put our minds to it we should be able to come up with some winners for Tikay for the Ascot card that has been moved to Kempton tomorrow

Not really sure, to be honest. When I accessed Sporting Bet for the purposes of this thread, I found I still had money in there my my time with them as their, umm, Poker Pro/Ambassador.

I know, I know, you can't make these things up. I was monsta, I had Flags & everything.

The one you are attending?

It's but 2 miles from home, I pass it every day now. I'll wave as I pass, rather like HM-ness does @ Royal Ascot.

Not mad on "first goalscorer markets", & betting on Jelavic in particular is a complete waste of time. Even WarwBastard would never back him........

PS - For a tenner, & a little fun, on my way.
