College football season start this weekend.

Our boy Marcus Mariota plays Saturday in what should be a ridiculously one sided affair. As Oregon play the might of Nicholls State (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholls_State_Colonels_football) at home. Oregon are 59 point favourites for the game which will be one of the biggest spreads of the year if not the biggest.

Tbh the game is a bit of joke and I only expect Mariota to play the 1st half and maybe even less. So hopefully he will look sharp and avoid injury.

The bigger interest for the bet is what happens to the other leading candidates around the country. Especially if Johnny Manziel plays Texas A&M opener against Rice, this is still very much up in the air from what I understand.

Top work Mark, thank you, that's exactly what we need with this bet, some expert reporting.

59 point jollies, yikes.

Look forward to the Report on Sunday, though from what you say, the Oregon's game is meaningless.

Evening.

Been  tats today, just got back.

If there is anything urgent, please remind me.

I'll work though the thread soonest, & try & get up to date.

Not like Cheryl Cole's new one I hope...

I'm not sure of the origin of "going tats", but I'm sure you know my intended meaning. Wink

Um, I don't actually! Am I being dim? I assumed it was a typo...

We have a free bet to use this week on BetFred.  I really wanted to back Furyk in the golf, as he is on a streak of top 10 finishes, but BetFred have put up a terrible price, so we have to give it a miss.  I don't even think he is worth backing each way, as his price at the bookies is quite a way below Betfair, so the maths doesn't work.  Personally I have had a place bet on Betfair at 8.4, but can't really recommend it as a bet away from the free ones.

Instead I think we should back Mickelson.  He has a couple of firsts and seconds this year, and has won this and had a couple of other strong results here.  After a couple of poor results and him feeling tired, he came back strongly in the last round at the weekend.  Presumably he'll want a string finish in the FedEx Cup too.   But the most important thing is that he is top price with BetFred.

Suggest £25 free bet Mickelson with BetFred at 14/1.

I'll probably have a good luck at the each ways later, but everyone is five places, so don't expect much obvious value.

Thanks Doobs, & I look forward to possible "place" betting later, either on this, or the Welsh Open as suggested by Adzy.

For now......

£25 @ 14/1, FREE BET with BetFred, Phil Mickelson, Deutsche Bank Jobbie Which Finishes on Labor Day.

Ha!

Not dim at all, perhaps it was a regional thing, but "going tats" means "going out", as in a day out at the seaside or the Zoo. Or in today's case, Head Office.

Going tats is going for a walk (in the words of Mickey Flanagan, "airt").

Think "ta-ta" as in TTFN.

Either that or he's been off to see the lady in the leopardprint catsuit again.

Doobs.

From a punter friendly perspective you may want to look at Welsh Open as some are still doing top six.

US golf also finishes on Monday due to Labor Day, so no big finish on Sunday.

I would assume there is no MNF next week, so a golf sweat might come in handy, & tick the buzz box.

Yes, that's it. Never knew it came from "ta-ta" though.

As to the lady in the leopardskin cat suit (seamless spam incoming), if you refer to Miss Tatyana Pasalic.....

....I can tell you that she will be "front of camera" as Hostess at the Sky Poker Tour leg in Newcastle next weekend. I think we can assume that Mr Tight of End will avail himself of suitable photo opportunities.

Lol

To be fair, it doesn't say Celtic have to progress; just win on the night. 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-2, 4-3 all count

OK, & I understand the rules as to him (potentially) being a non-runner, or void bet. Fingers crossed.

Nico29 suggested Lustig was a useful shout, which was endorsed by other(s).

Subsequently, there were differing views as to whether Celtic really were capable of running up a Peterborough-esque score.

I'm inclined to think this may be best watched, rather than punted, beyond our existing bet on Dick Van Dyke.

Agreed?

It's just % of Celtic to win minus % of 1-0 2-0. Comes near enough bang on 4/5~ 55%

Slightly confused by that.

Celtic are 1/5 to win in 90 minutes, are they not?
