The Booker Prize

http://www.oddschecker.com/awards/man-booker-prize/winner

Ladbrokes have not changed their price on the fav Jim Crace from 5/2 even though the list has been cut from 13 to 6 where as the others have. As well as this it seems that this will be Crace's last novel and there are whispers that he may get the award as a sort of Lifetime Achievement.

Anybody have any views on this?

Sorry your bet is cancelled, we fucked up again.

We value your custom.

Ladcrooks

Sandy

I did in fact try to have a sneaky off thread £20, but they Restricted me to £10. The price was 5/2.

Tikay, maybe you could put the winnings towards the Greyhound you spoke about getting when Fred first started! Did u ever get it? Please tell me it's called Blonde Fred?

No, we did not progress the idea. I have no idea if Fred will continue indefinitely, or even much longer, but if it does, we certainly ought to do something along those lines.

If we had made £300 more in Year One, we would have done it then, but we done too much backing Walsall, who failed to oblige in any shape or form.

"Blonde Fred" is a great name, but I'm sure we could, collectively, find something better.

Tiddlearse Chomps, perhaps?

I forget who suggested that. Whoever it was deserves a bump for brilliance. (I actually mean that. It wasn't me!)

Problem with Tikay Max is he'll never get a run.  Every so often Dubai will appear on the thread telling us to run him, but that bastard risk officer won't countenance it.

Hopefully he'll father a few decent puppies, Hector's Pint, Musslebrough Bad Beat and Hill's Three Bet. The trainer will never let Novelty Chompy get a run out, despite some astonishing times in the trials.  Alas, Eso Kral will get a few runs but be destined to always finish 3rd or 4th.

When he does get out remember to lay him off in-running.

Gotta like "Novelty Chompy".

Anyway, back to the business in hand.

In the CL, Dortmund are losing 0-1 to.....Napoli.

Meanwhile, we are on Brighton to beat QPR - currently 0-0.

Good evening Tony,

LeSean McCoy looks too big for first TD on Thursday Kansas @ Philly. So many opportunities for him in this new offence, 5/1 would be about the right price. Recommend £20 at 13/2 with Hills or .

Not a bad warm up for the tour championship :

PRINT
TEXT
By Doug Ferguson
Associated Press

Series: PGA Tour
ATLANTA – Adam Scott had a record-setting score last week, just not at the BMW Championship.

On his way to Chicago, the Masters champion played a casual round at Shinnecock Hills and wound up setting the course record with a 63. Scott played the red tees, which are the tips on the Long Island course. He made a 12-foot putt on the last hole to beat by one the record set by Raymond Floyd during a recreational round in 1996.

"It's pretty cool," Scott said. "The members got pretty excited when I came off the course, and it's one of the best tracks in the world, for sure. No one has ever shot that score in over 100 years off the tees I played. So that's a pretty neat thing."

Shinnecock Hills is one of the five founding clubs of the U.S. Golf Association. Scott had rounds of 75-75 to miss the cut when the U.S. Open was held there in 2004. It returns to Shinnecock in 2018.

"It was a really fun day, and I felt a little sense of achievement, absolutely – especially beating Raymond Floyd," he said. "It's added to a really good year."
