India v Aussie rained off....any impact on our batter bet?
Runs scored in an abandoned game count - in effect the game is a draw
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=8263;type=series
Luck of the draw, sometimes works for you, sometimes doesn't
BUMPED for Lord Adzy. Those quoted stats are, I believe, the "official" stats.
Yes the result isn't "cancelled", play until the abandonment stands for records.
Beauty! Not often I decide to spend winnings on a special purchase, but earmarked this as one such occasion, showed supreme faith in Tighty, and went in with a decent wager
. The dream lives on. TY boys!
I dread to think how much the Fred Faithful have bet on this in total!

the #askharry hashtag is rather amusing reading this morning
the guy screening the questions must be very busy
I've dropped a load of pins. I don't want to tread on them. Can I ask about tacks avoidance? #AskHarry

Rachel Riley 13.5 on betfair for next elimination, next best price is 5-1!! With betfred, was in the bottom 2 last week so every chance she will be again, just depends whether the judges save her over whoever she is against, best case scenario it would be The Hairy Biker. She may get saved against Fiona or The Dragon
Anyway at that price I recommend a cheeky £5 on Rachel Riley next elimination on Strictly at 13.5 with betfair.
The Betfair specials markets react quicker to news than the Bookies. Rachel was on It Takes Two dancing well last night, so the Betfair market has responded. The bookies haven't, hence the discrepancy. So if you are using the bookies prices as justification, I think you are making an error.
I think Deborah Meaden would be the bet if you could get Sky. It is too late to get the 4/1 on PP from earlier. I think it is a no bet for thread.

Firstly i am not a big fan of Nigel Clough however it is widely accepted that sheff utd have a squad at least good enough to compete for a top six finish
13 points behind top six is a fair way to make up but not impossible at this stage.
Next six fixtures
Sky Bet League 1 Sheff Utd vs Crewe
Sky Bet League 1 Sheff Utd vs Gillingham
Sky Bet League 1 Bristol C vs Sheff Utd
Sky Bet League 1 Sheff Utd vs Walsall
Sky Bet League 1 Leyton Or vs Sheff Utd
Playing 18th,17th and 6th at home
Playing 24th and 1st away
That looks fair set of opening fixtures to me, Leyton Orient could be on a downslide by then and even Walsall are a fair bit higher than expected.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-1/top-6-finish
Suggest £10 top six finish 11/1 vcbet
Thanks John.
I placed this bet yesterday, in fact I later regretted not having a bit more. We took £10 @ 10/1.

Later, & on advice from someone who I trust a great deal on such matters, I also took for £80 @ 13/8 with BMU for Sheff U to finish Top Half. Sorry I never reported this yesterday, but it was a badddd (4 x "d's" = monsta bad) day.
The price has not changed as far as I know, so Fred could have that IF they wished. I'm not fussed either way, though personally I prefer the "Top Half" bet. The only downside is we'd have to follow Sheff U all season. In every life, a little rain must fall.
Views, please?

Would you reckomend this Aussie egg chaser to be bet top Aussie @ 6/1, or is 9/1 for the tournie better? Does the value of the bet come from the fact that its a big favourite the winner will be from the Australian team?

Like this a lot. Enough goals in King, Brandy and Taylor from what I saw last night and plenty well organised. Outside Poshies and Wolves they're all much of a muchness. Good spot horsey.
Yes, I wish I had lumped a bit more on now.
For interest, the prices with BMU now is 5/1, & the best price is 7/1 with Corals!
That's dinner sorted then.

Haven't been on top of it this week, but I know Rachel is doing her favourite dance this week: the Paso Doble. Usually a bit of a crowd pleasing dance, even if butchered. Her quickstep was poor last week and she seems to have popularity issues in terms of votes, however.
Suspect she might stick around but she does need to dance better

I came at it from the Angle that I wanted an Australian, as the team that will play six matches for sure.
They play England in their group, then after that would not be expected to play a team under 175-1 in the outrights until the final
I accept the squad may rotate, occupational hazard that across long term player bets in many sports
6-1 top Aussie looks better than 9-1 outright now though I think, didn't check that market at the time.

Strangely enough I have backed Sheff Utd today but not for a top 6 finish. think that is an ok price but really do like the 13/8 that they finish in the top half, it looks far too big to me.
Happy days.
Reminder to all - this is available to Fred @ 13/8 if we want it, I speculated £80 @ 13/8 last night. If the price has since plunged though, it might be improper at this stage.

Most of those at the top of the betting are Australian though. I looked yesterday and was struggling to separate them, as several of them seemed to score tries fairly prolifically. I am not going to recheck, but I am guessing there were 3 or 4 others close to the top of the betting like this. Both prices feel similar to me, though guess the 6/1 is more likely to be unaffectedby yesterday's post.
I'd have definitely taken the 14/1 if I had been paying attention later though.

Are we still trying to reduce the size of the outstanding book?
