I hope Wade is ok

Looks a very unwell man to me

Very good days and very bad days it seems to me over the past year or so. Friend of mine very similar. I wouldn't punt him one way or the other ever.

He's bipolar.

I stopped betting him last year for this reason, he was cruising against Osbourne and he gave up.Cost me a right few quid.
The only thing that stops Taylor from winning the Worlds is that he peaked too soon, i can see him going off nearer evens than 2/1 on this form.

Neil's recommend was over 49.5 points on the Cowboys game which was available with Power for a spell so still a winner for BE. Still sick for Fred right enough.

I think you should get on both bets for the Green Bay game Tikay. Infact it think with Neil's staking plan we should just get on all the bets.

I agree with this. I'd be prepared to bet Mr Channings smallest bets will be +EV over the season.
Just reduce your stakes and bet them all. Must reduce variance.

My view is that the margin between these bets is so fine that we need to bet them all, I think it's been said before and I think discussed a fair few times but having lots of bets is probably more profitable than having one or two big bets.

It's seldom that we would see a total wipe out on the positions Neil takes but it wouldn't be uncommon for the 2 bigger ones to get turned over especially when they are not super strong in relation to the other bets or indeed last weeks selections.

Much of that is fair comment, but we addressed those things a while back when we debated it. Neil is 10% ROI on the season so far, so that's meaningful.

We'd freeze out all our other regulars though, there'd be no room for them, leading to the tiresome "clique" suggestions.

We do OK on NFL, too, this is not dick-swinging, but over a sample size of 116 bets, since Day One, Fred makes +16% ROI on NFL. This includes, of course, many of Neil's suggestions, later to become Betting Emporium. The important thing about that 16% ROI is that it has come from 10 or 20 regulars here, & we would not want to squeeze them out. Doing all of the BE stuff would just leave no room for others to contribute to the NFL fun.

There is touchy-feely, too, as Doobs alluded to, if we do all of Neil's stuff, & (say) he went paid subscription, we are effectively giving away all the BE stuff & folks will not want to sign up. Very important that we behave fairly with Neil & Joe, as they always have with blonde, us, & me.

Interesting debate.

Incidentally, fwiw, OFF-THREAD I do all of Neil's stuff when time permits. Misclicks, the lot.....

Ah, ok. Many other considerations.

Yes, a point worth making. By the time I emerged from the Sunday afternoon kip, the line had moved everywhere.

The losing bet should NOT go down to BE imo, their Recommend won, we took a worse line.

Chelsea and Manchester City both joint favourites to win the Carling Cup and both best priced at 3-1, but looking at the draw, would you not make Manchester City slight favourites here?

Leicester v Man City
Stoke v Man Utd
Sunderland/Southampton v Chelsea
Spurs v West Ham

Man City playing the weakest team left in the competition and the other 'big' three are in tough ties. Stoke scrapping past Stoke & West Ham beat Spurs not that long ago. Plus I would say Man City out of all the teams left have had a better season overall.

Not sure how they price it up as they do, would definitely have Man City as favourites over Chelsea, best price for both shows at 3-1, comparing each bookie, only Coral has Chelsea as favourites. Have to expect City to be in the semi finals.

Ahem

Not sure we are weaker than Stoke and Sunderland, when drawn at home tyvm.

:-)

Serious point 3-1 any side in that line up looks skinny. bound to be a tough two legged semi, quite possibly two of Chelsea/Utd/Cty playing each other

Thanks Tighty. 4/4 NFL bets !

You are welcome

12% ROI over 28 NFL bets this season in that column. This week was tough, so pleased really.

I think my point could be comparing Chelsea to Man City more than anything

definitely two sides of the coin to look at it, they could be playing Chelsea/Spurs/Utd in the semi's or Stoke/Sunderland/Southampton/West Ham, personally think it will be a mix of either, surely.

would love to see a manchester semi final though tbf
