Hi tikay,

I've had a little success following NASCAR this season, far from an expert, but been following some blogs in the States looking for small edges, that the UK books miss or are late in picking up.

Ford EcoBoost 400. Final race of the season.

The driver I like a lot in this race is Martin Truex Jr., and it's not just because of his 20-to-1 odds. He has a great history at Homestead with a 9.9 average finish and also had the fastest 10-consecutive lap average in Saturday's early practice session. His best type of track over the past three seasons has been on 1.5-mile tracks. This looks like the perfect spot for him to grab a win, even though winning races have been a rare occurrence for him.

He starts 8th on the grid. 36 season starts with 1 win, 6 top 5, & 14 top 10.

PP provide value, & are out of line @ 25/1. Suggest a small £5.00 EW (top 4, quarter odds) investment.

Don't recall Fred ever having a NASCAR bet previously. Love the way there are always folks who have "deep" stats on stuff like this, the Americans seem to major on stat-based betting, as in MLB & NFL, for example.

Inevitably, PP restricted me to £1.04 EW, but it'd still be a handy £30 or more, & if you saw a £30 note blowing down the road, you'd pick it up pdq.

Not an easy sport to follow & watch to be honest, hours & hours of racing round & round, continuously pitting for tyres. Not sure even diehard fans can follow it with out a few beers. The US TV coverage is pretty cool though with multi in car footage & interviews with drivers & teams during the racing.

"fastest 10-consecutive lap average" has been the key stat I've been using this year.

Also started dabbling in Alpine skiing & have been reading up on Ski Jumping & the dominant Gregor Schlierenzauer, such a cool mad sport. 

I used to watch NASCAR a lot when Sky Sports covered it, who covers it now, & is it available in the UK?

I've been watching it on pirate feeds, this week there is free feed on dailymotion, it may also be ESPN.

Hills mobile offer is back at Cheltenham for channel 4 today.

Sire De Grugy in the 2.40 at 5/6 is obvious

Ted Veale in the 2.10 isn't so obvious, but he is abets price with Hills and I like the horse.  He has been backed for this too.  Suggest £25 Ted Veale at 11/4.

We should definitely have one of the top 2 in the 1.35, but 3 horse races void the offer, so people should back them close to the race.  Will probably back Sea Lord myself, but will be busy at that time and may not be able to post.

I just perused the T & C's, and it requires FIVE runners minimum, not 4 as we thought, so it's just one of those things, & down to us, not Mr Hill.
