thanks tikay
as i stated a few hundred posts ago this windies side is not great but they have a lot more steel and grit than most of there recent sides
It wouldn't be hard. When I lived in Antigua and there was a test there I often went to bars in the middle of test matches and saw swathes of the WI team in there and left them there at about midnight too.....

Thought Mandaen was a shade unlucky. To be entered in the wrong race.
Our cup runneth over.
Chanderpaul will start the process of getting us out of it.

Some happier news.
Kings XI Punjab have just beaten Chennai Super Kings which is a good result for Mumbai Indians.
Depending on how things pan out, the last play-off position could be decided in the 72nd and last game of the regular season when the winner of the Mumbai Indians v Rajasthan Royals match would qualify. It may also be decided in Mumbai Indians favour before then.
Also, Serena Williams continues to dominate in the women's tennis and has just taken the first set against Medina Garrigues.

The BBC report that Bjorn was very unlucky.
American Brandt Snedeker pulled off a truly remarkable win over Thomas Björn on the opening day of the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Spain.
The 31 year old won the opening three holes with only 11 clubs - all borrowed - in his bag as he waited for his own set to arrive.
They had been delayed en route from Florida at the start of the week, but were then driven from Malaga Airport and once at Finca Cortesin Snedeker was able to add three of them to take him up to the maximum number.
By the sixth hole he was already five up and after losing the long eighth to a birdie he replied in kind on the next to turn in a four under par 33.
Three times a winner on the US PGA Tour, including a play-off win over Luke Donald last year, Snedeker started for home with his fifth birdie and ran out a 5 and 4 winner when he holed from off the green at the 14th.

the staying race at york is interesting later on (4.45)
the fav cape tribulation is an admirable horse but should not be 2-1/9-4 for this. The formbooks suggest the horse has improved since its last flat run in essence it hasnt it has returned to its best form and its come from behind running style does not generally suit in this race or at york.
There are a few solid types like dark ranger but LIFETIME is my idea of an eway bet, has slowly progressed for its excellent new trainer but even after two comfortable (in the end) wins the horse is still only rated 71 with a good 7lb claimer on board. The horse has never been this far but its running style suggests if anything it may improve for this test (first beaten last time over shorter)
14-1 with vcbet is to big.

3/1 for Chanderpaul top 1st innings Windies looks big to me.
Can't find his stats quickly but he is class and has played well in England before.
Sandy
Come on Sandy, do it for us, break the run!
Mr Chander is trundlng along nicely, & @ tea, is now JOINT top scorer. That's not to say that Samuels won't get a biggie, or the tail won't wag, but we are in with a great shot here.
