Doobs is it worth getting out of the Perri bet by backing Richard at evens? He certainly must have got a huge amount of votes last night.

Don't think so.  Betfair is significantly bigger on Richard and we can't get out of Perry at the right price because of the liquidity on Betfair.  Austin is probably the bet, as the market has gone weird.

Richard could crush obviously, but I just don't see what others find amazing.  He has a disability, but he is still an athlete.

Congratulations those that got on at the big prices.

One gets flung around by his mates for a living, has a jazzy haircut and can dance a bit.

The other is a person, who despite the challenges he has faced, ended up doing things that seem to be nothing short of miraculous, and represents his country to at the highest level possible.

No idea what they're seeing either Wink

I read about him in the week.  He has run 40 marathons an 40 days, which is an astonishing thing for anybody to do, let alone somebody with his disability.  For that he absolutely has my full respect.  I couldn't possibly get close to doing something like that.  It is absolutely no surprise he won, and I mentioned last night that 2/5 could be big.  No idea now why I didn't take he Coral's 4/1.  I loaded the site up and had second thoughts.

I am a little uneasy that the scores didn't reflect the degree of difficulty of the dive.  If I was Richard, I am not sure I'd be happy about it either. The public can do what they like after the scores come in and I try and make money by second guessing them, and failed pretty miserably here.  It is a reality show, and this isn't the first time I have sat and watched a performance and heard the judges, and thought what is that about?

Anyway, you clearly judged this way better than me too. Well done.

Hope Austin can get me out.

Tikay will be pleased to know we are unlikely to have any bets for The Jump.  I guess much of each of the shows is going to be pre recorded, so don't think it is really going to work for betting.  Redgrave wins.

Hills have an interesting match bet for the 5.00 at Wolves

26 Jan 2014 - 5:00 W'Hampton - Zafaraban v Amber Moon
Tip It
Amber Moon @ 9/4

Amber Moon is useless but this is her trip, Zafaraban comes back from a long break, needs 3 miles over jumps and has never run over shorter than 11 furlongs on the flat

Personally i make this a pick em regardless of there outright chance, not one to go mad on due to the fact Amber Moon is not very good and is ridden by Ann. Another bonus is she does usually ride out even if third last

I only watched the first week to see how Fred's boy got on, and had completely forgotten about the show until that post last night.

I didn't know who he was until I had a look on google this morning, but it definitely is incredible what he has done, and if they're overscoring him based on who he is, rather than what he did on the show that's very unfortunate, and pretty cold for the bet.

I wish I was able to gauge things that well, but the only thing I've judged is how I think the public will perceive him.  Everyone knows that the public love something that tugs the heartstring, so generally they vote with hearts not heads.

That said, it just goes to show how bad Paddy are pricing him up at 25/1 for it!

Wouldn't be so sure that Redgrave wins, this will be very different to anything he has done before and he also faces fierce competition. Have been doing a bit of reading up about it and I would certainly give Nicky Clarke and Marcus Brigestock a chance seeing as both of them have been keen skiers/ snow boarding for many years. As well as that Gough will not go down without a fight although it does depend on how many pies he has been eating.

From what I can see the show is not based on viewer votes, so it will be a case of the best wins and it will certainly help to be super fit as it goes out for 8 episodes in a row, pre recorded during the day for the main comp and then the 2 lowest doing a ski jump live on air with the shortest distance going out. Seems as well along the way they have minimised any advantage to any event through weight or height. For me this is a real guts and fitness test and the strongest will win, certainly puts Sir Steve in with a shout but I'm having a dabble on the other 3 I have mentioned with my biggest bet on Marcus.

We're doing well

Chelsea £25 free bet at 6-1 for the FA Cup

Draw Man C away

Back out to 6-1 for the FA Cup, fourth favourites behind City 100/30, Arsenal to 9/2, and Liverpool 11/2

Everton cut significantly to 6-1

I haven't been well all week, so hadn't realised they had eventually priced up.

It is definitely worth reading this, as this fella has been training them for 5 weeks.  Think anarchism us a good bet at 11/1 and 12/1 (max £4 odd Boyles).  Probably worth a thread bet.  Laura Hamilton is supposedly very good too.

Seems Redgrave's going to Redgrave on this.  Love the fact Goughie is concentrating on the ski jump as he has realised that is the only thing he had to win every week.

Hayley Tamaddon just got highest score off the season so far with a 38. Big difference in music this week for her and she is a slow burner and gets better with practice. Ray up next but Hayley is not done for by far!

Been away for the weekend to find Fred's tried his best to bok my Buttler series bet after rebuffing it at the start, and golden Camel's still bragging about me sending him to the top of the chip standings with 200 left in the WSOP Main Event!

But Rubbish's excellent A-Z makes up for it, so many quality posts. Fred has taught so much and made us all so shrewd we're fighting with IBAS and having accounts closed down! Great stuff, long live Fred
