Downside- he cooled off slightly, manager not biggest fan, Falcao prob in squad, tough draw post group
[25/04/2014 02:27:14] PinkTrousers: plus side- He is a proper goalscorer, Falcao wont be 100% for opening games which are easiest ones, hard to drop a player that scores.
[25/04/2014 02:27:43] PinkTrousers: 1/4 top 4 normally means 4 goals= win
[25/04/2014 02:28:02] PinkTrousers: Colombia odds on in easy group
[25/04/2014 02:28:39] PinkTrousers: Honestly think its a massive runner, if the manager starts liking him more he should be 25s or so
[25/04/2014 02:28:50] PinkTrousers: assuming Falcao aint 100
[25/04/2014 02:28:53] PinkTrousers: %
[25/04/2014 02:38:10] PinkTrousers: Would only lose in 1994 with 4 goals
[25/04/2014 02:38:29] PinkTrousers: Go through all top sides, he biggest price of any "main strikers"
[25/04/2014 02:38:40] PinkTrousers: other person i considered was Balotelli
[25/04/2014 02:38:47] PinkTrousers: who i think is shit
[25/04/2014 02:39:31] PinkTrousers: but probably overpriced, given long odds on to start, takes penalties and Italy decent odds on to progress through group

I don't think he'll mind after I edited his skype.

thank you

we have balotelli at 33/1

he can start scoring after tonight

Ladbrokes world cup boost today is Cavani 6/1 FGS if you bet between kick off of the colombia game and the first goal, thoughts on that?

BUMP for me

restricted to a £1 bet

If you have a Betfair Sportsbook account they are currently way out in front with the price of Yaya T scoring anytime at 5.5.

Everything I am reading is that he is fit to start but you could wait until after the England match to place this bet

As an additional sweetner, Betfair Sportsbook are offering free bets on losing bets o £25 if certain 'triggers' are met. I think this will be a high-scoring affair with IC strong in attack and weak in defence so suggest the refund trigger to be Drogba scoring first (If Drog doesn't start then it will revert to both teams scoring and Japan winning).

What do people think of a small wager on this? If you do it you must click through, choosing your trigger free bet option.

Do you Know if Yaya Plays  advanced for IC or will he hold more to counter Honda/Okazaki etc?

No, I don't know but they'd be mad not to have him roaming around the box with his EPL goals this season...

i believe he plays deeper, alongside Tiote, in a 4-3-3 behind Drogba with Kalou/Gervinho  playing either side up top and filling in on the flanks when defending

at least he did in the warm ups/qualifiers i researched in the last few weeks

at city obviously fernandinho mops up behind him and he has licence to get up to the front two and beyond

9/2 anytime is fine in that style, in a more defensive midfield set up then something like 11/2 6/1 is about right, i think

he has 16 in 82 for the ivory coast, about 1 in 5....far less than club career where he's 1 in 3.5 for City

I disagree and think 9/2 is superb value-if he starts.

It's a typical betfair sb rick.

As is the 12's fgs-almost prefer this as likely void if he doesn't start.

He's a general 5/2/7-1 shot in these markets.

Also a likely arb on the exchange.

Also I feel his gs rec for IC is mainly based on prev years when he was less offensive than he is now.

I've lumped on.

I don't particularly get the love for Uruguay.  Away from Uruguay in the qualifying they only beat Peru 2-1 and Venezuela 1-0 and got beat a combined 16-5.  I'm also not sure that conditions won't suit Costa Rica a bit more and Suarez being out is a huge miss for them.  I'm sure Costa Rica aren't all that good but I am not sure Uruguay without Suarez are world beaters and it makes Cavani easier to mark when you then only have to worry about 35yo Diego Forlan rather than Suarez.  The only thing that stopped me betting CR is that they have lost a key striker in Saborio too.

10000% agree, been saying ths since day 1.

No idea why they are hyped up so much.

There pros is definitely that they are mentally stronger than a lot of countries.

Le Mans update:

Just in & missed the start. Porsche has lost one car, fortunately it's not #20.

Hour in & #20 running 6th, lost time in the pit stop apparently.

Crucial period is generally at dusk & dawn, so plenty of time for everything to change.

currently running 2nd...

Recommend Uruguay to win both halves £20 max with Coral @ 3-1 (4.0). 2.36 on bf and other best price is sky at 11/8. Not only do I think it's a good bet at the price maths wise but it's been tipped on talk sport and twitter a few times that I've heard. Pretty much everyone saying there's not much to Costa Rica. As Coral are doing the special offer unless there are reasons not to or disagreements from others I think Fred should bet it. Thoughts?

I think you're mixed up with win both halves/half time full time.

Your right Ex, thanks for the nudge.

Their fans, who were on the most part divided on the prospect of his appointment, are now going batshit crazy.

Having had a quick look online, I can see why, and it does seem like a very strange appointment...

Moyes turned them down to go abroad (and a loser for us)

Sherwood turned them down over terms for Two assistants, which Peace wouldn't stump up

Alan Irvine appointed

Relgation odds shorten to 3/1

Well done all, great day yesterday, over £200 profit.

Lord Grumps got a bit lucky with that FGS, but we take our bad beats with good grace, & we'll take the fortunate ones too. Thanks Neil.
