I can't say I'm really a fan thus far but Word has it that Andy Carroll is going to get the starting spot over Danny Welbeck(he has the No 9 shirt)...If he does start and performs well he could keep his place in a 2 man attack even when Rooney returns
He is a a very generous price for top English goalscorer for a medium investment but only if you can get the 15-2 on offer at Paddy Power
I think it depends completely on the style of football we play. Carroll will be wasted if we convince ourselves we can pass it about like Spain. If we lump it up to him like Stoke or Big Sam's Bolton, we stand a much better chance. He'll win everything in the air and we have plenty of players who can shoot from the edge of the box. As it's Roy Hodgson as manager (long ball hero) the 15/2 looks good imo. Especially if we go out in the group stage and Rooney plays just one game.

Rugby. U20 World Cup NZ v Wales Wales+40 10/11 Ladbrokes.
They're playing on a quagmire which will reduce scoring. Other bookies have adjusted to about 32 point margin. 5 minutes until kick-off.

There was just a very remote chance that he was awake and perusing this thread. 6-6 with 25 minutes to go - looking good.

Terrific start from Poland. Definitely the game of the tournament so far.
Greeks hoping austerity measures stretch far enough to buy a bus to park on the 18 yard box.

Half-time score: New Zealand 6 Wales 3 Full-time score: New Zealand 6 Wales 9 To give that result some perspective New Zealand had never before lost a match at this age level. The last time these two teams met (a year ago in Rome) New Zealand won 92-0.
